I visited Penbox today as it is only about half hour drive for me. I needed a bigger pen case for my modest collection of pens, and I saw a very nice Pelikan case on the website.

It is good to know this is an actual retail shop that you can visit in the little historical town of Epworth, which is worth visiting for a day out anyway.

The shop is beautifully presented, with a wide variety of gorgeous pens, as well as inks and accessories. There are advertising posters and ephemera which gave the shop a nice feel.

Steve the shop owner is friendly and obviously a genuine pen enthusiast who is very knowledgeable. He was generous with his time to chat about pens. I got the new pen case that I was looking for, and will look to go back for future pen purchases. There are not many specialist pen shops around anymore, and I highly recommend Penbox.

Penbox had the best price I could find for a Waterman Carène stub nib unit. Steve replied promptly to my initial query, and once the order was placed the item arrived quickly (and in the largest Jiffy bag I've ever seen!). Nib writes like a dream... it's just a pity I don't! I visited the Pen Box to enquire about getting a replacement nib for my Pelikan pen. The shop was out of stock of fine nibs due to uncontrollable issues with supply.
