Had a lovely lunch today in the cafe, great food with reasonable prices, great views, friendly helpful staff. Picked up a few Xmas gifts for the grandchildren(I know it's only September, but in the sale) visit today only let down by very indifferent girl on the till, no eye contact, no please or thank you (from her, not us) totally uninterested. Staff training required or maybe new job?

This used to be a really nice garden centre, lots of plants and a good variety of composts and pots. It is still lovely to browse around outside, but the inside of the shop has become a sensory torture chamber. They have loud advertorial videos playing constantly all over the garden accessories section. That, combined with the terrible pop that is pipped in on speakers for some reason, and the maddening "Christmas" display that sings every time a child presses a button, means that in some areas you can hear three or four different speakers being played to you simultaneously. It becomes just awful and really difficult to concentrate.
It made me so angry that actually choosing seeds and bulbs became an endurance test. How the staff put up with that being played at them all day I just don't know. I really feel sorry for them. I hated it so much that I just don't ever want to go back.
Please can I just shop for garden items in peace?

Very nice breakfast. Quite generous. It seems bigger and better than the last time I visited. Very nice quality and range of plants available. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
Shop is well stocked and smart, if a little pricey.

Nice lunch although drinks were from machine and not the best , lukewarm and expensive. Great service, except the lady on till, who was less than helpful and not even a please or thank you. Not the first time being served by her always the same?

Visited the Cafe on Thursday 24.10.24 with Friends for coffee and was very disappointed with the service, they were busy, but as usual only one till open.
They had plenty of staff but only a few seemed to be working, the others just seemed to be stood around.
At one point the till went down and it took 3 staff looking at it to see what was wrong, and the whole cafe came to a standstill.
Eventually the really rude and miserable blonde haired lady opened the other till, and proceeded to serve customers without a please thank you and definitely no smile.

Exterior display area extended. Compost can now be found on the far right along with grit, choice of decorative stones and wooden furniture. As expected, plants are plentiful with everything you would need for your garden, or indoor plants, all to be found at Jack's Patch. A wide selection of clothing, accessories and gifts. Staff are helpful and ready to assist those with disabilities. Overall, a good experience but if you plan a visit, allow yourself plenty of time. Parking is free, disabled parking available and the premises are wheelchair friendly (wheelchairs also available on request) but there is a slight slope down from the entrance and again from the outside plant area and up to indoor plants and tills followed by another short rise to the car park exit. Could use another entrance/exit point at the far right nearer to the main car parking area. New customer collection point. If purchasing bulky items, get accurate description (example: Quartzite Pea Gravel 10mm large bag) go to checkout and they will find item on their list, pay for it and exit premises. Take vehicle to far end of car park - right hand side - and go around left bend. Reverse to collection point, show staff your receipt and they will collect it for you and help to put it in your vehicle. No more towing heavy carts around ?. Home delivery service is also available as well as Click & Collect.

Good sloped floor for mobility scooters but could not get angle to get into disabled toilets. Had to walk my wife in and manually move scooter. Fair indoor selection of gifts but Christmas was starting to take over!!
