Was amazed at the cosy reception and the opulent bar/snug. Had room service of sandwiches that were delicious. Bedroom was so spacious. Windows were amazing not a draft anywhere. Heavy curtains to keep the room toasty! Clean & fresh everywhere. Staff in breakfast conservatory couldn’t have been more helpful! Loved it there & will definitely be back when ever we want that touch of luxury & peaceful atmosphere. Thank you all for preserving this little gem. 💎 🙏

I rarely write reviews but this was necessary so that no one else has to experience what I did staying at this hotel. I booked a double room to stay for one night ahead of an important client meeting, where I really just needed to get a good nights sleep. My expectations were not high, just a comfortable bed and a quiet room. However, neither of these things were met. To write a balanced review, I’ll talk through the good points, and what made this the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. ||Positive: |- Beautiful setting |- Lovely bar and restaurant |- Great food and service at bar and restaurant |- Manager was very helpful but ultimately unable to resolve the issues |- My colleague’s room was lovely so the bad points I’m about to outline do not apply to all the rooms ||Negative:|- Room 2 on the ground floor next to bar and reception had a paper thin wall/door, meaning the proximity to bar/reception made quiet enjoyment of the room impossible.|- The toilet (look at the pictures) is next to a giant window on the ground floor next to the entrance to the hotel. Yes, there is a blind that can be pulled down but it really didn’t reassure me of privacy when the light was on |- The bed cover was a very itchy thin blanket (our family dog has a better dog blanket!). Reception then informed me that the hotel does not provide duvets and I would have to make do with that (once again look at the pictures). They brought a couple of alternative blankets but they were no better, and were not duvets. |- The room was freezing and there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature so had to be cold and uncomfortable all night under the super thin blanket.|- The ironing board was broken and just fell apart when I lifted it out of the cupboard. I then had to makeshift put it back together, left it standing when I finished because I was not risking it falling on my foot again. |- The room had the most awful smell which gave me a really bad headache by the morning.|- The room is a “family twin room”. I had booked a “double” but the receptionist gave me that room instead and told me I could not have the room I booked and pre-paid for as the hotel was full, and that I had been “upgraded”. And that I couldn’t get a refund so I could stay elsewhere.||Overall, absolute fail on all the key elements of the “hotel” aspect of the property. However, the bar and restaurant are absolutely lovely.

The room was comfortable, as a lone traveller the additional bed was a bit wasted on me. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and tidy and well appointed. There was a weird banging noise on and off above the ceiling, heating pipes maybe? but it didn't last long. I was travelling for work so not likely that I'd be back there anytime soon. The restaurant was nicely decorated, but for the simple palette, the menu is quite 'fancy'.

We recently held our wedding celebration at The Stables @ Nuthurst Grange. We had 100 guests, and our close family all stayed at the main house for the weekend which was perfect as most travelled a couple of hundred miles to be there. The team allowed us to have a private room the night before for dinner, which made it feel really special. On the day, we had plenty of time to ready the venue with decorators etc. I would like to highlight two individuals particularly. Kelly Griffiths in Events who saw us from the initial conversation all the way through to the event on the day - nothing was too much and no question too stupid! Grant Coley the General Manager who could not do enough for us and spent his whole evening in the background of our event meaning it ran like clockwork. I can't thank you all enough. All of our guests commented on the beautiful atmosphere the venue gave us and we're forever grateful of it.

We had a lovely one night stay at this fabulous Hotel. Accommodation, restaurant & staff are all excellent. Met several couples who were all on their return stays ...say no more! We will back & hoping to stay a little longer as this is also a great place to stop whilst travelling from south to north.

Had sunday lunch with some friends .|Must say as we walk into reception we was warmley greeted by a lovely Gentleman ..|Who I later found out he was the owner .|Paul .He did ask if we wanted a drink.before lunch which we did |The bar is lovely beautifully decorated. |We then went in to.the restaurant for lunch .|It's was absolutely lovely everything included and the cauliflower cheese you could just carry on.eating ..|Thank you to all.the staff for looking after us. You are amazing..
