Very unprofessional and extremely rude!! I had messaged the baker in March for a 3 tiered cake for my son’s 10th bday party in towards the end of July. We did not discuss the specifics of the cake till I saw her in person to get my younger son’s cake ( which by the way she had forgotten to add his name and age on)at the beginning of May
The cake design was quite a complex one which we were discussing using dummy pieces etc. We decided on a price and for her to deliver and set up the cake at the venue. One week to my son’s party she messages me to tell me her parents’ anniversary is on the same day.
I did not realise that I had let know the exact time the cake would be needed for the day.
How can someone who has been given a job assume a time for a job and not confirm with the customer if omitted? How can you say you did not realise there would be restrictions knowing fully well I was renting a hall and not a party at my house. The second prompt should have also been when the parents decided they weee going to have a party did she not realise at that time
Trading words with me and trying not to take any responsibility. If we did not discuss flavours would she have just done any?

On the day, the cake was slanting and eventually fell. Message the baker with a picture who did not bother to respond. Only put 1 star because I had to.
