Such a shame to loose big brand shops such as Wilko but the Newgate Centre is just a multi story car park and a walk through into the town centre. Sad to see the little business close too Master Mochi cobblers key cutting shop that's seems to have always been there with the opening of the centre.
Lots of changes and building works to accommodate the job centre and access doors to Fore Bondgate so it's not the mixed shopping centre it used to be.
Even the pigeons where coming in out of the cold and wet weather to feed on crumbs from Gregg's purchases dropped at the entrance exit.
I hope a new tenant can be found or mixed use purpose for the empty Wilko store

So sad that this place has almost fizzled out due to expensive rates on the buildings. Now most are heading to the retail park as there's plenty there to ensure you get everything and the shops are varied and quite close to each other.

Like a set from the Walking Dead. In the main street were the characters. What a state Bishop Town centre is now planning has gone totally to pot. Bus station getting renovated but who's going to visit? Really dodgy goings on.

An indoor shopping mall suffering due to ASDA moving to an out-of-town location and the closure of WILKO. Also the adjacent Bus Station is closed for re-development. There are developments underway in this town and hopefully things will pick up thereafter.

I went there on week day, it not busy. Many shop let to rent and closed. But totally nice walking around and chilled.

Newgate Shopping high street where you can park your car
£0.60 for 2 hours.
£2.10 for all day.
too many parking spaces.
there are greegs in Shopping center,soon to come out left hand side EE Network, and right hand side a mobile shop Phone Tech for all phone accessories and repair.
you can visit shoe zone in front,O2 or Boys shop in high street.
very friendly staff.
there is a lift in parking area.
This town is have lost too any big names bid brands but the Council is very active to bring back businesses .
