Our 2nd visit, Interesting and great to be able to walk on board. To get a taste of what it was like. Shame the museum wasn't fully open. Great morning though.

I am absolutely delighted with this museum.
I grew up on a farm and very far from the sea, but I love it very much and for me pirates and sea voyages have always been surrounded by the romance of adventure.
The museum shows the life of sailors as it was, a very realistic and harsh life on a ship, as well as the life of a sea town.
Many exhibits and amazingly realistic wax dolls take us there. It was as if I was visiting in the past.

Had a fantastic day out with my grandsons and one of their friends. So much to see and better than the description. We actually ran out of time and we were there for 3 hours. And we can go back again as it's an open ticket. Very educational too. Can't say enough.

A very well maintained and beautiful piece of maritime history, well planned and thought out. You can tour the whole place in about 2 hours, definitely a one time visit. Tickets are slightly expensive tho

Brilliant! Loads of interesting displays. We had a tour of the ship and a demonstration of weapons at the times from Jackson who was great and clearly loves the subject. The tours really bring the whole thing to life so would definitely recommend these. Cafe was good and v reasonable price. Only complaint is that the person on the reception seemed a bit grumpy and overcharged us (and tried to charge someone else for a 2year old entry) which seemed a bit off. Still good value at the higher price anyway!

So much to see and hear stories about. The models are extremely good and the dioramas given you an idea of what these sailors lives were truly like. The whole area is wheelchair friendly though the ship is a bit more for those that can duck in places. There's a lovely cafe on site which sells tea, coffee and cakes etc. Staff are super helpful and friendly.
