Fish and chips were great but restaurant staff firstly lack menu knowledge and got a VERY abbrasive response from one lady with a dark short bob and glasses when asked. Excuse me, can you tell me what the sou of the day is please" she turned sharply and loudly sais " NO, I am doing hot drinks" not at welcoming all and embarrassing for me as other customer stared shocked. As was I. Aksed if you had semi skimmed milk. "No, full fat or nothing". Then placed lunch order with her colleague, who was more accomdating but she said "We have no ham and so asked what items are available on the menu. She did know. I asked for fish and chips and she said we have any cod only fish? Some retraining needed think and a update on milk option. No skimmed, no oat or soy alternative.. I will go back for plants but will skip food and the "polite" witty repartee as is somewhat lacking. Shame when good money has onviously been invested in the surroundings. Till garden staff were delightful.
