We had a wonderful afternoon tea experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome - they were genuinely friendly and down to earth, which really added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was fantastic with a generous selection of sandwiches, a scone, and some of the most delicious cakes. It was also great value for money, especially considering the amount of food we were served. We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

We had Christmas afternoon tea in a ski gondola outside with blankies and hot water bottles (provided by mrs salisbury). Was so cute and in the gondola...well there was a chandelier of course haha oh and a heater. It was a pretty chilly day but I still ended up taking my coat off and offing the hot water bottle. Very individual experience it was so so cute. Food was great, way too much grub but we got cute little doggy bags to take out untouched leftovers home to devour. Only thing I'd say is ...think sensible. If you are a larger variety human (which i am) be prepared to breathe in as the space was tight between the table and the bench.

We have just celebrated my sisters 30th birthday here. It was totally fabulous. The staff we so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was amazing , so much we had many take away boxes supplied to take it all home with us . Highly recommended.

How great for a village to have its own tea room. Great that the old pub has been put to use instead of being left empty like they are in so many villages across Essex.

Mrs Salisbury’s is a traditional tea room. it offers a great selection of hot food, drinks (including alcohol & cocktails), sandwiches, cakes and puddings.

The interior is beautiful in style with the pub that it use to be. Wooden beams, log burner and wooden tables.

The menu is big offering a great choice.

It was my first visit with the family. We had a jacket potato with Brie and bacon, a fresh prawn salad, two hot chicken, bacon and chilli ham toasties. One with chips the other with crisps. For drinks we had Pimms with all the trimmings, lemonade, sparkling water and tea and coffee. We were all a bit stuffed so we had lemon drizzle cake and chocolate brownies to takeaway.

They offer a takeaway menu and lots of people came in to buy items to take home during our visit.

Tables are not bookable so get there early if you want to have lunch as it was full during our visit.

The people are lovely and polite.

Seating is available both inside and outside. There is also a car park.

Definitely worth a visit. There is another branch in Maldon which is closer to me so I will try that next time. But I will definitely visit again when visiting the family in Wickham Bishops.

A wonderful mother's day treat by my daughter, first time visiting and I couldn't recommend this lovely place enough. Everything was perfect, staff were very welcoming attentive, friendly, helpful, professional, food was delicious and very impressive. Definitely a place to visit again. Very well done to all.

We had an afternoon tea booked in here. The venue had character and decor was nice and cosy inside. From the minute we walked in the staff we all extremely helpful, friendly and made you feel welcome.
The afternoon tea was delicious. A great selection of savoury and sweet foods, plus a great selection of teas. Our dietary requires were vegan, and all the foods were soo good! Would definitely go back, and highly recommend.

Not sure if they are a permanent feature, but there are 2 cable cars you can eat in. Looks fun. Might have to go back just to give them a try

Had a delicious afternoon tea yesterday, just a day after the grand opening. I had a voucher from my daughter for my birthday in November and had been waiting for warmer weather for the trip to Maldon so was super excited when the WB tea room opened the day before my husband's birthday! Yummy food, amazing range of twas (we tried 5 different ones between us) and super friendly service. So glad it's only 15 minutes from home 🥰😋
