Brilliant find today of this bakery. Beautiful fresh sausages rolls, £2 baguettes and sandwiches which were soft and well filled, yummy triple choc cookies and brownies. We came away with a bag full for under £10.
Lovely fresh homemade baked goods, cheap prices & kind staff 🙂

Wonderful bakery. Everything is fresh, delicious and cheap. £2 fresh baguette sandwiches. 50p gingerbread man. Bag of sausage rolls for £1. Ignore the reviews talking about poor customer service: I've never had a problem. If you demand your goods without a 'please' and complain about it being cash only, don't complain about getting service without a smile. If you say good morning and treat the baker with respect she will repay you in kind. Excellent value for money and fresh goods, what's not to love? Thank you for running an old-fashioned homely bakery in this modern times.

Fabulous food at astonishing prices.
Yes they only take cash but there are plenty of notices telling you so.
Don't be surprised then if they are not happy when you ask "Do you take cards".
And it's a bakery not a fast food outlet so no they don't re-heat items.
You can get wonderful baguettes for a couple of pounds, various savoury pastries at £1.20. They must only make pennies per item.
Absolutely first class.

If you can't be bothered to get some cash, go to the kiosks on the front and pay £3.80 for four doughnuts.
Your choice.

So when first stepping inside the building it has fresh pastries tasty desserts and filling baguettes/sandwiches. So overall amazing food the only let down for me is that is that staff seem to seem a little uninterested/standoffish but aside from that some of the best pastries, desserts and one of the best bakeries if not the best bakery I have ever been to

A fantastic bakery.
Cheap price but not cheap food, there's a good selection of pastries and fresh filled baguettes. The cakes and sweet treats are all so just as good.
I go for a work lunch or a leisure day out snack.
I would recommend it to any worker or day tripper that's hungry.

As others have pointed out, the lady running this shop is rude. Also, she can't cope with any payment, apart from cash and is unable to reheat anything.

We went in for two Cornish pasties, but came out with only one as my wife was not prepared to buy something from such an unpleasant person.

She asked where we'd come from (presumably thinking we looked like southerners) and we told her that we are locals. Her attitude changed slightly for the better then, so it would appear that she's also 'anti-tourist'.

The final note here is that I think she sold me a Cornish Nasty, as it didn't taste very good...

We stock up here about once a month. All of the food is lovely. The staff may not always look happy but they are busy and engage if you make an effort.
Everyone we have introduced to the bakers love their products.
Can recommend them highly enough

Bought a selection of items this morning, which are all very nice however the awful taste left after being served by a rude, uninterested woman behind the counter means I won't return. You shouldn't be made to feel like a nuisance or an annoyance when interacting with your staff when all I was there to do was to spend £££ and to be honest i would have spent more had i not had this uncomfortable encounter. I understand everyone can have a bad day but this has now cost you a customer.
