One of the shockingly worst experiences ever. I can't believe i had to face racism in the year 2025 and all my daughter wanted was a dress for her big day. On behalf of my daughter any black girl do not purchase or make an appointment at this store. One of the ladies who was in charge of assisting us kept mentioning my daughter skin colour and how her "dark" complexion didn't fit the lighter colour dresses which my daughter had explicitly stated she had preferred! The lady had the audacity to insist that my daughters "darkness" was the reason the dresses didn't fit and how her skin colour overshadows the dresses making them look bad, additionally followed by more shallow comments about skin colour race, etc and she didn't stop at that but also said "braids/plats" is what my daughter should have for hair at prom even though my daughter said no and was clearly uncomfortable and only made that assumption because we were black? There was no need to constantly bring our race and not much were said about the dresses or what my daughter wanted as she was determined to mention the word "dark" and "skin colour race" more than i can count. My daughter told me she felt antagonised and felt even worse from seeing the treatment of the other girls be completely different from hers just because of her ethnicity.

Found this shop online when looking for a prom style dress for my daughters 18th birthday party. A bit out of the way from where we live but definitely worth the drive! Can't praise the assistance given enough. We went in with a colour and dress in mind and whilst the owner went along with this he did advise that the choice may not suit her. We took up hours of the owner's time, with my daughter trying on many different dresses before making her final decision. The owner was absolutely right and we came out with something completely different but it was stunning and flattered her shape and skin tone perfectly. Had one very happy 18 year old on her birthday!!

Absolutely Amazing!! I was in a complete pickle with having bought my daughter a bridesmaids dress from another shop that didn’t fit, with just over 10 days to go before my wedding, was having a major panic, popped in to This shop on a Monday at 10am explained my dilemma to Neil who straight away could not do enough to help me, he got straight on the phone to his suppliers and 24 hours later I have a beautiful new bridesmaids dress matching all my others in my hands!
I cannot praise the customer service I received high enough, he was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help.
To any brides, bridesmaids, prom goers, or you just want a fabulous dress with the best customer service, I highly recommend this store. Thank you Neil, you are a legend.

My sister had a bridesmaid dress disaster and was let down for a replacement by the shop she originally purchased her dresses from, with only 10 days till her big day we went shopping with not much hope to try and find a dress . Neil at The Bride Shop was so helpful and literally wouldn’t give up till he had sourced her a perfect replacement and all this within 24 hrs. We cannot thank and recommend Neil enough for his kindness and service, a true gentleman.

Been in there shop afew times as live looking at the dresses and when I ordered my dress last year for my wedding I tried it on this year and it was way to big I was in tears thinking I’m gonna have to buy a new dress took it to these guys who did the measures and alterations on the spot!!! save me money buy taken in and up my dress and helping me feel comfortable in my dress brilliant customer service and very polite to there customers I recommend them to my bridesmaid who also took in her dress for alterations as well

Amazing service from the guys here. They answered all my questions and gave great advice. Absolutely in love with my Jora dress and the alterations were superb. Vile customer serice. Dress only needed minor alterations but it toke them a month and half ...And when I inquiring when it would be done I get verbally attack on the phone . And to top it of they try to charge me more money :/ absolutely discussing. Thankfully for them the alterations where fine can't fault that . But the customer service was horrible.
