Incredible meat feast!

After salivating over their menu for a couple of months I made the trip and left with a buzz from the superb food I had.

The 'Smokehouse Stack' burger stood out for me and I accompanied it with the smoked ribs starter. Beautiful flavour to those and a delicious BBQ sauce.

The burger was elite and definitely the star of the show. I questioned it when it came out because it had a big helping of fried chicken which it doesn't state on the menu. An added bonus it seems! Not that there wasn't enough meat packed between the buns already!
A nicely cooked thick beef patty (for which there should have been 2, so maybe that has changed to accommodate some chicken?), lovely smoked bacon, melt in the mouth brisket and lush pulled pork.
They used just the right amount of sauce to prevent it being a sloppy mess but I was still covered in it, to my pleasure though!

My portion of tater tots was a good size and everything was piping hot.

The staff were great and provided excellent efficient service. The place has a nice ambience too.
I highly recommend it.

Ooh, good Mexican restaurants are few and far between so I was thrilled to discover Mexicali in beautiful Holmfirth. We had a beef burrito and beef tacos with draft Corona and a side of the best mac n cheese I've ever tasted. The whole experience was fun and absolutely delicious. We sat in the outside area with our dogs so were lucky to get a warm September day. Will definitely return, thank you!

We really enjoyed the food and drinks here. The fruity punch cocktail was really nice, and so was the cinnamon churros iced coffee. Food-wise, the frickles were lovely and the chicken tenders were delicious - so nicely cooked and well seasoned. The birria tacos were spot on. The mac n brisket burrito was lovely but could have done with more flavour and a different dip - maybe a small pot of birria sauce and a small nacho cheese sauce rather than the cheese sauce it came with. The service was great, staff were really friendly and attentive. We're looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu items.

The best Mexican food I’ve EVER tasted! So good! I would 1000% recommend! Staff are super friendly too! Dogs are allowed outside which is a plus! Great music and atmosphere! They also have a full vegan menu!!

Food was amazing, very good Mexican food, contrary to what other people seem to have said, I thought the prices were absolutely fine. You're paying for a nice meal it's not going to be fast food prices. I did take a while to get our food, round about an hour but they were fast with drinks. Service could've been better, some of the staff seemed uninterested and most of the time just chatting in the back, would've been nice to have someone check on us to see how the food was but we never did. Overall a really nice place and amazing food at a good price.

Great food. Highly recommended. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Edit: Visited again recently and had ribs starter for the first time. Unfortunately these were terrible. Like chewing through rubber and struggled to separate from the bone.

We came here for my husbands birthday. Lovely little place and they managed to squeeze us in as I had made an error with the booking, which was much appreciated. Waiting staff were lovely and even brought out a birthday ice cream with sparkler for my husband which was a lovely gesture. Food was lovely and had a very good menu with lots of choice. My only fault with the place was the service was very slow, it took an hour for the starters to come and then another hour for the main course. I didn't want to complain and dampen the night as it was for a special occasion. It was quite pricey as well but we didn't mind so much as it was for a birthday meal. All in all we had a lovely night out as a family. Thank you very much 😊

The food here is absolutely unreal! Don't even think about it just go..

We are spoilt for choice with places to eat in Holmfirth but this place makes the decision easy! Not just a themed restaurant, these guys really know what they are doing, the food is incredible!

We were lucky enough to sit outside as the weather was nice, lovely atmosphere and even nicer members of staff. Price was vary fair considering this was one of the best meals we've ever had.

We will be back again and recommending to everyone!
