I visited the Marrkt store as arranged with Lewis by telephone.

The items I was looking for were not in the condition I had hoped for, so I agreed to try on a few other items instead. However, after I started undressing in the changing cubicle, I was consistently bothered my the owner - who presented me with something he said would 'look good on me'.

He insisted on helping me try on a leather waistcoat and trousers which seemed to have cut outs at the top rear (where I expected the pockets to be). He then presented some military boots, and suggested I tie the laces to complete the look. I bent down & did as he directed, but then felt an unusual sensation behind me. He explained this was his friend Alex - who had come round to borrow some aluminium ladders.

I didn't see anything I liked, so didn't buy anything. However, Lewis insisted that I take a momento away for free, and duly presented me with a framed photograph of himself wearing only a feather boa.

I would think twice about going back.

Very happy with ordering from MARRKT - bought an incredible wool jumper I'd otherwise not be able to afford. The description was as advertised, and the photos very clearly show the condition of items on the site. Customer service was also extremely friendly - thank-you!

Great to buy if you know your size and measurements inside out.
Hell awaits if you ever have to return a product however : from the product packaged in a mere paper envelope without any additional protection, the refund processed to the max stretch of their ability ("up to" 7 days = full week), to the frankly exorbitant return shipping fee, or the fact that they dont refund the delivery one.

MARRKT offer an excellent service both as a seller and buyer. The selling experience takes all of the time and effort out of selling clothing online (no more photographing items, corresponding with buyers, packaging and shipping items as on ebay) and the prices achieved are very good. As a buyer the detailed descriptions and high quality photos take the risk out of buying secondhand online; easy free returns too! A great company with friendly and helpful team — highly recommended!

Great to buy from but a very poor experience to sell through.

Once you send your items to them they act as if they are theirs and you are effectively ignored.

Commission is also huge but you know that going in. It just makes it even more annoying then that descriptions, sizes and condition of items are often wrongly stated. Prices are dropped with no consultation or notification. (But that commission stays the same), so that drop is coming out of your pocket). And then when you do make a sale you will have to chase them to find out.

Bad experience with poor communication.

I originally tried to sell two shirts through the website. Duly sent photos and information via the form on the website. Did not hear anything else a week later (despite website quoting about a 72 hour working week turnaround).

Left a bad review on Google which prompted a quick reply from Lewis Hull at the firm. Said he'd been ill and was now back to work and processing a backlog of replies.

OK says I and removed the initial negative review. I e-mailed back to clarify something about the pricing and,, two weeks later.... still heard nothing from them

So, back up goes the poor review. Really poor customer service from Marrkt to a prospective customer. I've no idea if they provide a quick service if you buy something from them... but if you're selling - avoid.
