We came here after reading reviews that this place is coeliac-friendly, and it certainly is! The owner is very knowledgeable and informed us that all the cakes were gluten-free.

The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy. We chose jacket potatoes - one with veggie chilli and the other with cheese and bacon. I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but I was. The food was incredibly fresh; you could tell the salad had just been prepared. Everything was delicious, and I will most definitely return when I'm in the area.

Having recently been diagnosed with coeliac I was keen to try this place after reading the reviews. It certainly did not disappoint. We were welcomed by a lovely friendly lady that found us a table very quickly. I had a bacon and egg sandwich and it was delicious. One thing that is hard to get right is gluten free bread and they have certainly cracked it here. The guy that served us was so polite and kind and we will definitely not hesitate in having another visit very soon. It was very busy which is certainly a testament to how good this place is.

Lovely staff and gorgeous food. I had the crayfish tail and avocado salad. So much of it! We were lucky to get a table as a walk in. Will definitely book next time.

Good food and service, but terrible pricing, full breakfast something on the list I disliked so I asked for it to be removed and maybe an extra egg or something in its place. They said I have to pay for extras even though they had removed something. Not able to do a simple swap to keep customer happy, gave me a long drawn out answer on costing of the item ( an egg instead of black pudding) lost a bunch of customers instantly. Very poor customer relations

I came here after finding they had gluten free options and learnt that ALL their cakes are gluten free!

I ordered a goats cheese salad, which was lovely. They definitely didn't scrimp on the cheese!

I ordered a slice of lemon and lime cheesecake, which was lovely and took two slices of coffee and walnut cake home with me!

Consistently wonderful food. The desserts are stunning. The soups are delicious and the coffee stays hot.
The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble.
Can't wait for my next visit to try the next soup and dessert. My favourite place in Chester.

Stopped here for a late breakfast, family of 5 with a dog. What a lovely place. The staff welcomed us all in, including the dog, and found us a lovely table upstairs. Staff were super friendly, food was beautiful and they made a fuss of the dog. What a lovely end to our weekend in Chester.

Popped in for breakfast after dropounf the car off for a Service and simply asking Google "Where is the best place for Breakfast?".

Well, fortunately, Google was absolutely spot on this morning.
Picture shows the Veggie Breakfast and Full English (picture doesn't fully show the x2 pots of Earl Grey loose leaf teas, OJ's, and oodles of brown toast). Well worth a visit to (nearly) the top of Northgate Street. ?
Upstairs also has a nice little bar area, but maybe it was just too early in the morning for a cheeky tipple ?

Definitely will go out of my way to visit again. ?
