What a treasure. A great source of haberdashery with a lovely helpful owner. Beautiful vintage buttons and a really well organised selection of ribbons, lace, beads and so much more. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy craft work.

Make do 'n' mend is the most wonderful place!! It is a real Alladdin's cave for haberdashery, knitting and crochet, buttons, ribbons, toys old and new, bits and bobs, crafty bits - just allsorts! And if you can't see what you want, just ask!! It'll probably be there somewhere!!! You'll be amazed by what you can find in Make do 'n' mend!!!! Every town needs one!!

Really cheap . Crocheting wool can be like under a pound for 6 balls and hooks are 50p. Lady in there is really nice
