Lydeard Farmshop - Taunton

Located literally opposite Bishop Lydeard train station this lovely farm shop has a range of typical farm shop eateries including in store bakes like sausage rolls, cakes etc. and vegan equivalents.

It also has a refillable station at the front for liquids and a refillable station inside for snacks such as nuts, seeds, chocolate and mixes. Take a container with you or fill up a bag in store, it's all done by weight with their special scales machine. Great for cutting down on plastics, I personally recommend getting the glass jars to refill into.

Theres a lot to choose from and they have a variety of free from options such as gluten free pasta, oats, biscuits and more.

Definitely worth looking at while you are that way or going specifically even as it's on the way to Taunton. Theres a park on that road too so you could take the children for a play and have a look in the shop after.

Friendly team, great food, fairly priced. The staff did a buffet for 64 people for a woodland party, delivered it to us in the wood and everyone, without exception, commented on the fabulous quality. We'll definitely ask them to cater for us again (and they recycle their platters which is a huge plus for us)

Such choices of fresh foods- quiche, scotch, eggs, bigger selection of pasties, pies, sausage rolls in the hot cupboard. Great choice of fruit and veggies. Yummy cakes my favourite being the chocolate orange cake.

I have a bit of a farm shop fettish. Lol I'm always on the look out for somewhere different. I live in Paignton and often have a drive out to various ones. Today I was going to Rumwell a usual haunt for me and googled farm shops Taunton and wow!! Did I strike lucky finding lydeard farm shop. So much choice of fresh fruit and veg. Lovely deli and cakes to die for! Really good prices too. The staff are amazing lovely friendly helpful can't do enough for you. It's Yes from me I will be back many times.glad I found you a hidden gem♥️

Popped into the farm shop again this week and as always, all of the staff were attentive and helpful. I couldn’t find what I was looking for and it was immediately found for me.
The fruit and vegetables are super fresh and actually taste like they should do.
Lovely selection of unusual little gifts and cards.
I would highly recommend popping in and seeing what they have.

The shop is always well stocked with a wide range of groceries, local treats and luxury items. The fruit and veg is always fresh and the deli counter filled with delicious freshly baked quiches and pastries and an array of cold fresh meats and salads.
You will always be greeted by friendly staff who can't do enough for you. The farm shop is a huge asset to the village and local surroundings. ❤️

Love this shop! Amazing fresh baked cakes, quiches, pies and more. The fruit and veg is good quality (keeps us well supplied with clementines/satsumas/nardacotts throughout the year!). Local produce is sourced where possible. On top of all this - friendly, helpful staff who have gone above and beyond throughout this pandemic. Thank you!
