Can't praise Longmill Carpets enough. Chose vinyl but had to change dates for work to be done but nothing was a problem to them. Fitters have been today and laid the vinyl. What an amazing job they have done. Thank you.

So often nowadays sorting something like new flooring feels like a chore, which made my experience with Longmill all the better. I can't emphasise how much they made everything SO easy and stress free for me.. this is exactly why people should be using smaller companies like Longmill rather than the faceless chains. In store Louise was just brilliant at helping me get what I needed, I couldn't have asked for more, and the fitters were extremely helpful and efficient, even bringing my washer back in from the garage for me! That was a huge help! 100% in future I'll use these guys, thank you!

Excellent service. They’ve carpeted my entire house with no issues whatsoever. Richard has just completed my Motorhome carpets. He helped us measure the pieces and picked a remnant the right size. Spent a while in the shop and the finished product was brilliant. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

So today we had carpets fitted at both our own house and my fathers, both carpets are amazing, great quality and service with great communications all the way, really helpful to be able to take home carpet sample books too. Edit 06.02.23. Yes - the price for the thresholds did double! I was told this by one of the owners! Also, as per my original review, areas that should have been spot screeded had been missed (lounge, hallway, storage cupboard).

My experience with this store was extremely poor. What should have been a two day fitting experience turned out to be a five day nightmare! Completely unprofessional from start to finish. They recommended full screeding and spot screeding in places, to ensure a better surface for the vinyl. However, they had to return to repair the screeding which had slumped, and screed in areas they had missed. There were manufacturing faults in the flooring, which meant it had to be replaced, however, it was found to be faulty again, which meant more upheaval, and another return visit. In between, the carpet fitter kept taking photos of the faults to show them back at the store.

According to the owners and another shop assistant, it was never their fault! They told me they had "bent over backwards for me"! Despite the fact, that my contract was with them, not the manufacturer, this store would not accept any responsibility for the issues with the screeding or the faulty flooring and told me I had to wait until they heard back from the manufacturer. When I asked for a timescale, I was told she didn't know, as she didn't know the process, and was very busy with other clients.

I was also told that when the store assistant had come out to measure up, he would have had a checklist that he would have gone through with me, with regards to whether I wanted to pay for my furniture removing. This certainly did not happen, as I was upstairs at the time the flooring was being measured. If I had been given the option, I would have taken it.

In addition, I paid for thresholds, however, when two were scratched during the constant furniture removal, I was told that I would have to pay for them, which I agreed to. The very next day - they doubled the price! The price of the thresholds was on my invoice, but I was told that the fitter had put the wrong thresholds down, and if I wanted the same ones, I would have to pay double the price of the thresholds shown on the invoice! I decided not to pay them another penny, and paid another company to replace them instead.

You only find out how good a company is if something goes wrong. This is when you truly find out the extent of their customer service, and their level of care!
