Great sales patter and seems like a genuine guy. After sales service, slippery than a wet fish. Without going into detail, do your due dillinger checks on the vehicle to purchase.

Buying a second-hand car can be a minefield, both for the experienced ‘old hand’ and the novice alike. There is invariably something to worry about, either before, during or certainly after the sale. However, buying from Leon Howman Cars, as I have just done, need not be a problem and I found the entire experience very easy, friendly and reliable. Leon himself could not have been more helpful, being ably assisted by his partner Tracey and also by Harry, to whom particular praise must go after all the effort he put into locating and providing some missing bits and pieces, in addition to arranging to get the air-conditioning working properly. A first class, family-run business and one that I wouldn’t hesitate either to recommend or return, next time I need a new car. Well done and thank you, to all at Leon Howman Cars.

He was fast, responsive and sorted out any minor cosmetic issues to impress me and make the sale. He has business connections with repair garages and such to get jobs done and get the cars sparkling. My husband and I bought a car from Leon Howman Cars about 10 years ago and it was our very first experience with an actual second hand dealership. We had always bought privately before.
I remember the sale because we had just moved to the town and we needed a small car urgently. He was so helpful and was able to offer us the car we wanted, a Nissan Micra.
This car was one of the best runarounds we have had. Nothing went wrong with it and it passed all its MOTs with flying colours for about the next 7 or so years. It was sadly hit by another car and so had to be written off.
We went back to Leon, as we needed a car urgently after not being able to find anything privately. Again, we couldn't ask for a more helpful and honest seller.

He didn't have a huge amount within our budget at the time, but we chose a Ford KA which was a brilliant little run around and we had no problems with it at all.

Cut to a few years down the line, we decided we needed to upgrade to a larger car and an automatic.
As I'd never driven an Automatic, Leon recommended a few cars that he had on the forecourt and after I had a drive around, decided on one.
My husband and I went back later for another test drive and Leon kindly told us that he had just had back a Nissan Note
so my husband and I took that out for a test drive. We ended up buying that one as it was so lovely to drive. Leon did a great trade in deal for us as well.

He has always been really helpful and efficient. We had a slight issue with the Nissan Note's air con, but after a quick call, it was booked in and sorted within a week. I can't understand why people think that the after sales service is bad. We have had nothing but kindness and helpfulness from him and how anyone can say he is rude, is beyond me.

I always recommend Leon to anyone who is looking for a second hand car because we can't fault the service we have received over the years. 100% would go back again whenever we need a new car.

I have been using Leon for all of my cars since 1998, he has never let me down and has always been helpful. At the end of the day you are buying a second hand car, which is always a chance. He offers a full warranty for a limited period and has always been helpful with repairs and service out of this period. I often recommend him to friends and family who have also experienced his exceptional service.

Bought a skoda hatchback from here. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Didn't feel pressured like I had at previous dealerships.

There were a couple of issues with the car after purchase. They took it back straight away to sort out, no argument and no hassle. Car runs perfectly now.

Definitely recommend buying from here. Can see why it's been in business for such a long time.
