Popped in, on the way back to Nottingham, to get one of their cherry cakes for my mum. She and dad used to live nearby and loved the food from here. The staff are really nice, very pleasant and helpful. The shop and range of products is nicely laid out, great for wheelchair visitors. All on one level and so much to see, huge range of plants and gardening tools, equipment etc fantastic.

Lovely visit today, lots of new house plants and outside plants. All at reasonable prices.
Lots to see in the garden centre, the Christmas decorations were in the process of going up. This is always a fantastic display.
We had lunch in the cafe lots of choice ,and very helpful staff in the cafe.

Bought a gazebo from here which was not really fit for purpose. Any wind blows the curtains in completely and there is nothing to stop this as they are just not tight enough when closed. Langlands refused to take it back as they said that it had been assembled and we should have know that the wind would blow the sides in, even though it was on display inside, so no wind inside. It is the worst thing that we could have wasted our money on and now we are left with a useless gazebo. If I could give them no stars I would.

We popped in for some lunch and shopping today and while I do like the place unfortunately the cafe food is AWFUL! Order 2 ham and brie paninis and the were solid lumps of tasteless (un)food basically!! On a plate with some crisps but no salad! Nasty indeed and left most of it. Lattes were just standard blandness and the cheery scone with cream looked awesome as was mediocre at best. Cream was over whipped and solid and the scone wasn't really a scone as such so left half of that also. How hard is it to make something nice? Crazy and they charge like £30 for it! Terrible. never eating there again sadly. The xmas section is great though but freezing cold so we didn't want to stay long. Plus I bought some dark chocolate coated ginger sweets for £4.20 and have now thrown those away also! The chocolate is the cheapest nasty granular type stuff! Awful.

This is a really popular garden centre half way between where I live and York, so just right for popping in to stock up on all things gardening.
Over the years I have bought all sorts of things for the garden including some fab honeysuckles, Fuschia, bulbs and lots more.
Going to Langlands is more of a shopping experience as there are other products such as cards, stationery, hone furnishings and an Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
The cafe is very good and popular with shoppers of all ages but the best section for me is the shop with cakes, meringues, preserves and, best of all, four freezers of frozen products such as rhubarb, apples and blueberries.
Well worth a visit!

We had a great time looking around Langlands garden centre York. There are plenty of gifts, cards, plants and barbecues, outdoor lighting, outdoor furniture and the cafe has plenty of spaces and great food. The disabled toilet was big enough to take a wheelchair in and was very clean. There is also a Edinburgh wool shop. The only thing that was disappointing was the farm shop which didn't have much apart from cakes. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Visited on a busy Sunday. Garden center has lots of lovely things to buy. 6 of us had lunch. The food service was disorganised with carvery being served to 3 of us then 10 minutes later the rest of the main courses. The queues are slow so be prepared to wait. However cavery was lovely and the cakes were wonderful so overall if you are not in a rush it is great

Had a fab family breakfast! Staff nice, courteous. Tables are very clean, all covid rules are followed. After the restaurant we had a wonder around. Our 5 year old was amazed by all the plants, we picked out some beauties together and planted them in hanging baskets at home. Great family day out!
