My mother went here to top up her gas and electric, firstly they said her electric card wasnt working (it does in everywhere else however) but that was fine so she just topped up the gas. When she got home it hadn't gone on, she went to enter the code on the receipt to activate the top up manually but found she'd been given a transaction receipt and not the one for the top up.
She then proceeded to call the shop and politely ask if they could check it their end or provide her with the code she needed.
The store denied. Simply telling her to call her provider and that they'd done it all correctly, even though we hadn't said anything of that nature, when she pointed out that she hadnt received the top up receipt they refused to check the transaction had gone through correctly or reprint the receipt or offer any help at all.
I work in retail and understand how entitled customers can be, yet i listened to the entire conversation and at no point we're they accused/disrespected or spoken to badly, and still even after being perfectly nice they did nothing to help. Poor customer service. Poor attitudes.

Not very pushchair- or wheelchair- friendly, but usually good service otherwise. The shop often has lots of decent special offers and the staff are usually helpful if you need assistance with finding something. If a product is unavailable, they are sometimes able to order it in, so be sure to ask. Would definitely recommend this shop, but hope they are able to make it more accessible in the near future.

The staff are always helpful friendly and efficient. Ellie and Becky are polite and always welcome customers with a smile. Good range of quality products and well assigned within the shop. During the current crisis the whole team have been pulling together with the community to provide essential provisions. A hidden gem of a shop 👍

Just had a revamp, large store has pretty much everything you could need without having to visit a large supermarket.
Clean shop and friendly staff in newly rebuilt local estate in basildon (craylands).
Also has atm outside and automatic doors for wheelchair access. A Few parking spaces are nearby and large pavements out front and alongside. Very easy access via numerous roads into and around craylands and Whitmore way and the dual carriageways.

Went into the story on Friday 30th and they had all out of date food on their shelfs not to realise when we got home it was 2 weeks out date when i went back with the food they said not their problem, bad service and out of date mouldy food not impressed

Nice and clean and well stocked, very expensive unfortunately. There's alot of dodgy looking men hanging around out side, but they are not as scary as the children that play near the cash machine that doesn't like dispensing your money.

My partner was psychologicaly attacked by one of the staff members. Clearly he's not ok... This store is ups pick up point, my partner came to collect his parcel but the guy could not find it where it is.. started to raise his voice and tell him to leave is he hasn't got anything.very rude service... No manners at all.. don't even want to come back and collect my order when it's in....
