Stopped for Sunday lunch. Table booked quite early so fire's weren't throwing out alot of heat so a bit cold to start with. Very nice food and I'd certainly book again once fires are roaring x

First time here, plenty of ales to try, I had the Golden ale, under 4% and very drinkable I didn't eat but everyone else's look and smelt lovely. Inside is very classy and the outside seating area is great, very bohemian. Definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Each time we’ve come into this pub the staff are incredibly rude, not just to us but to other customers too, it seems this pub is for regulars and regulars only. Seems as if there’s not an ounce of customer service training between them.

A woman next to us explained that her drink was taken and it wasn’t finished with and the blonde lady behind the bar rolled her eyes and argued back at the woman. She behaved in a very unprofessional manner, proceeding to make remarks about the customers loudly when they had left. If you’d like a hostile environment to have a pint this place is the place for you!

We came here with high hopes due to good reviews and were very disappointed. The table ordered three burgers and a roast, one of the burgers was ordered with no cheese or sauce due to preference and the first time it came out it had cheese. The server tried telling us there was no cheese but eventually accepted it, then it came back with a ridiculous amount of sauce and had to send it back again. It came out the third time fine except it looked like someone had crushed the burger and broken it up because the patty was in pieces and hard to eat as a burger, and the meat did not taste or look like beef as well as being greasy. The roast looked quite small for costing nearly £20 and honestly was a disappointment. On top of this a lot of the servers seemed quite rude, especially when talking to us, lots of huhs and talking to us like we were stupid, like it was a local pub for local people and as a result, us “outsiders” were left feeling very unwelcome. I understand it may have been an off day for them because their reviews are normally so positive but I feel the reviews were absolutely not reflected in the service we received. It’s a shame because before we received the food, we thought it was a lovely little pub.
