These do gas fire services in the evenings as they realise most people work in the daytime. We had our gas fire serviced by Tony from Jenkins Fireplaces. Totally unlike any other service we've had in the past - he was incredibly thorough and took his time. He dismantled the fire completely and cleaned every individual part & piping before putting it back together again and testing it. Cleaned the fire and surround and showed us the fluid he uses that he buys from the internet. Gave us tips on how to get the stains out of our fireplace stone with sandpaper and domestos and told us of a matt stone sealer we could buy from Pitsea Tiles if we felt we wanted to do that afterwards. Also told us what colour and brand of heatproof paint we could use to touch up the chimney at the back.
Very helpful. Went the extra mile. Excellent work.

We have just had a new electric fire and surround fitted by Jenkins. This is the fourth job Jenkins have done for us and as usual they did a great job. Very clean and tidy job. This family run business provide excellent customer service and I would thoroughly recommend them.

I had Tony come and look at my fireplace. The fireplace was old and had not been working for what appeared to be many years.
Upon arrival Tony was very professional.
I was very impressed as he removed his work boots when entering my house and was such a clean worker - he even had his own hoover which i was very impressed by.
Tony managed to get my fire working, gave it an inspection to make sure it was safe and even gave it a revamp by spraying the coals and back of the fireplace black to freshen it up.
I was very impressed and will use again without hesistation if need be.
Oh, also the lady who i spoke with first of all to make the appointment was very helpful and friendly. She knew what she was talking about and i felt very comfortable making the appointment with this company

We ordered a marble and granite surround / hearth and log gas fire in January and had this installed a few weeks ago to replace the hole we was left with after having a back boiler removed. We are so pleased with the results. Ian and Tony are fantasic guys and worked all day to get this done.

We ordered a micro-marble fire surround with an Evonic e800 electric fire It was bespoke as it was built to fit the chimney breast and the fire. We were delighted with the service we received. Ian and Tony came to fit the fire and nothing was too much trouble for them. They are perfectionists which showed in their eye for detail. The skirting board was made to fit exactly and scribed in precisely. The fire surround was made from one piece of marble so there were no joins showing. The fire slip was also made from one piece of marble. The overall effect is very sleek and modern (in a traditional context) which is what we wanted. The fire is very realistic and the flames can be switched on without the heating so it gives a very cosy feeling whatever the temperature of the room. We were extremely pleased with the whole process from beginning to end. From our initial visit to the showroom and our first talks with Yvonne, who gave us enormous amounts of help and advice, to the meticulous installation by Ian and Tony.
