We ate here tonight as we're staying locally. It's a basic restaurant that does most of its business as takeaway. Whilst it is dated, it was really clean and tidy. The food was excellent and the service was quick, despite the regular takeaway orders. The food was well presented, fresh and was some of the tastiest we've had. It cost £42 for a starters each, a main and rice each, a naan and a drink. Such good value. We would definitely come back.

Collected a takeaway while staying at Blagdon Barn. Quirky restaurant, we were greeted by Tanvik who was about 10 years old but had our collection fully under control and took payment. Food was great and very hot so travelled well. Food all as expected, tasty and large portions would use again

I completed a gas related job in their kitchen today and I can assure you this is one of the cleanest kitchens I have worked in.

Well done to the chef for keeping the work area so immaculate.

Bland watered down curries, uncooked onions etc. Samosas clearly out of frozen party pack, soggy spinach in sag aloo.

Disappointed more than anything, didn't taste inedible but I'd probably buy a microwave meal next time.

Onion bhaji was nice, bit burnt but tasty. Mushroom rice was alright. Naan bread can't complain.

Sorry for the review guys, don't review often. Hope things get better.

Something is going wrong at Indian Ocean.
But that means massive opportunity to improve.

As an experienced consumer and regular cook of Indian food, I have been using the restaurant for 2 years.

Until my last order I have always been impressed by the quality of their cooking and good varied flavours. Amongst the best that I have experienced. And that includes restaurants Shimla Pink in Birmingham and some in Brick Lane London.

My last order was Chicken Tikka, and Chicken Vindaloo. All chicken was stringy and over dry.

And I was asked by a friend this week what I thought about Indian Ocean. His observation was flavourless, and non descript dish to dish. As if the same sauce was being used in each recipe.

Lets hope that they return to their normal impressive standards very soon.

Ordered Vegtable Bryani, sag aloo, aloo gobi. The portion was decent. But it was tasteless, It just didn't have any good flavour. The texture was just like slop. I had many Indian meal. Sorry to say this was the worst meal I have had

Brilliant take away great food fast delivery. We had a meal for two but there was enough for three people. We ordered online by card to deliver to our cottage where we were staying. The owner did phone us to confirm our order and to tell us delivery was £2 in cash so make sure you have cash for the delivery.

We were staying locally, looking for an Indian takeaway, we were put off some of the reviews of the Bude takeaways so tried Indian Ocean. It was fantastic! 20 mins back to our cottage and the food was still piping hot. We enjoyed beautifully cooked tandoori meat with great flavour.
