There are numerous bars (including the brilliant Black Toad tap house), restaurants, eateries, shops and a lovely beach.
We attended the Open Championship Gold event at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, which was amazing.

A fairly basic, two platform station near the West Kirby terminus of the Wirral line. Regular trains run between West Kirby and Liverpool city centre through here.
There is a manned ticket office and waiting room, the platforms are linked by an overpass with stairs.

Lots of seaside character and possibly the best station flower display on Merseyside in summer. Completely enclosed waiting rooms so no need to wait in the cold for a train in winter. Level crossing at western end adds a touch of the exotic and provides easy wheelchair access to either platform. Smallish car park is perhaps the only slightly negative point.

I recall as a boy waving to steam engine drivers from the bridge. This must be my favourite train station, and I've seen plenty. The stationmaster was most friendly and helpful. Magic!
