Had given this place a wide berth as the last time I went was underwhelmed.

However when I visited this time the man with a face like a slapped arse was nowhere to be seen.

One of the young women was cooking the food and it was the best I've ever had from there.

Thought we’d get some fish and chips on a Friday night, pulled up just before 8:00 as looked very much open and no open times saying otherwise on the door. Asked for 2 large cod and chips and got barked at by the man behind the counter that they’d run out and empathised “because obviously we are NOW closing” making us feel guilty and awkward for walking in. Then proceed to turn the lights off in the shop while we stood waiting for our food. The absolute rudeness was shocking. Moaning about a last bit of profit before closing and making PAYING customers feel unwanted. We won’t bother again. Foods only average too.

Absolutely shocked with the service received! The food is not cooked properly or fit for consumption! And as for the staff they really need a lesson in customer service. And as for the owner he has a serious attitude problem, everyone iv spoke to has said the same. Reality check need for that shambles of a shop!!! I will be singing like a canary on my experience and many other experiences apparently!!!!

I presume its the owner who pretends he knows how to fry fish n chips! Very rude and arrogant to his mostly young hard working staff, food not great portion sizes shocking for the extortionate prices will never use again

Extortionate prices, small portions and poor quality. Completely taking advantage of being the only accessible chip shop in the village. £8 for a piece a fish the size of my hand, absolutely ludicrous.

Very poor in my opinion, spent £38 and was very disappointed, undercooked and greasy as hell chips, fish that had really hard batter, (no doubt been in the warming area for too long), I don't know that but out of the four portions of fish I had two had the hard horrid batter the other two were almost slimey in texture.
Never again.
