Lovely place. Great selection of plants, pet supplies, and other items. Prices are way better than the chain garden centres like B&Q etc.
Best selection of rose bushes for miles. Very healthy; mine have been in a year and they are flourishing.
Sit out by the lake with a takeaway coffee and feed the ducks.
Great on-site cafe serving hot and cold food. Fantastic Sunday roast!
The staff here are fantastic, so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Lovely little pond by the entrance x so many things for the garden and outdoor living x too many things to list x quality looking items x comprehensive range of nice well maintained plants for all situations and wants x friendly helpful staff willing to help x nice little aviary with budgerigars and the like x on site cafe that smelt nice which unfortunately I didn't venture into as I was tryin not to spend much x maybe next time

Absolutely perfect medium-sized garden centre with really nice selection of plants, large coffee shop/restaurant and florists all located in the same building. Ample parking right outside the main doors. Friendly and attentive staff, making the experience an overwhelming pleasant one.

Do not buy the Aquariums!
I have purchased their 60 litre tank 3 and a half months ago from Horns Garden Centre.
This was placed on my kitchen counter then and filled up and never moved since.
The surface is completely flat and nothing was placed under the tank.
I am an experienced and devoted tropical fish keeper and I love my pets to bits.
2 nights ago I woke up at 06:00 to an empty tank and a flood in my kitchen with a big crack on the bottom glass left to right edge.
I'm absolutely gutted.
I've asked the shop to replace the tank but after they've asked CIANO (supplier) they said "NO" due to the crack.
The tank was placed 3.5 months ago on a completely flat, solid, wooden surface with nothing under it.
Since I have first filled the tank with water I have never moved it, would be impossible to due to the sheer weight of it.
I have not had any rocks or heavy objects inside it as my design was 1 inch white sand substrate and live plants.
I am very disappointed that after spending over £600 for the tank, accessories and supplies, the shop will not assume any responsibility and continues to sell poor quality products which cause this much financial loss.

Based on the owner's vehement reaction in store today, I will specify that out of the over £600 spent in March 2023 towards tank and fish supplies, only 334.84 were spent in this shop.
The rest of the sum was spent on Amazon, like on the pump which I had to replace as the one supplied with the tank is not fit to filter that amount of water.
Also as I have been explained over the phone the reason for which you are "tied" is because "the supplier does not cover cracks" not missing the receipt which is proof of purchase not warranty.
On request I can provide proof of purchase.

Absolutely fantastic garden centre and it's such a treat to see all the lovely birds on their huge pond, the cafe is also a real treat, staff are amazing. The flowers that are arranged are fantastic. Horns truly is the best garden centre for all your gardening needs and very reasonably priced.

Absolutely lovely place as it was my first time at Horns. The cafe looks so quaint. The pond with the ducks and the angel is just breathtaking. Customer service was brilliant. Lady who sold me the tropical fish was very knowledgeable of types. Will be going back again

We recently discovered that they have a fish section so found a few additions to our fish family. The pet section could be better for cats and dogs but found a few bits. The ducks loved getting fed from food you can buy to feed them. Great staff and very clean. A massive range of flowers and gardening items.

Well stocked garden centre with a lovely restaurant. Lots of well cared plants, a duck pond, the Durham Angel by Ray Lonsdale, and an aquatics section.
