It's Homebase, but not as we know it, as this is Homebase on the ground floor of a former John Lewis store, and little has been changed to the lighting or floors, so for DIY it feels quite posh! The product range is good and prices generally competitive. It's also usually really quiet and the staff are eager to help, so that's a positive too!

Saw what I needed on line called at store and it was readily available. Excellent price but yet to test the equipment. Seemed to have few staff as no help was offered to carry to car but no a big problem.

Today, my wife and I purchased a pipe blockage cleaner from your store. Unfortunately, the product turned out to be extremely toxic, causing irritation to our eyes and lungs. It is our strong belief that this item is not suitable for sale for home use. The brand in question is HG. We took it as on the bottle it said it will clear the blockage within 5 minutes of application. I had to quickly flush out all of the chemical just moments after applying it. I initially stored the remaining half bottle in our storage room, hoping to use it in the future. However, the fumes emanating from the bottle were so hazardous that in the middle of the night, at 11pm, I had to dispose of it outside in the bin. Only then did we begin to feel some relief. To dissipate the fumes, I had to turn on all the exhaust fans and open every window in the house. Due to its extreme danger, I strongly advise against using this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

Have bought a few bits from here since it opened, but generally its a wee bit more expensive than the likes of B&Q, especially as you can no longer collect Nectar points with purchases here anymore. Tend to wait until the sales ?
