Since it's being advertised as a joined business, one can assume that when it's raining outside, you can get a piece to eat from one door and go to another to buy coffee.

I'm sorry I didn't feel like eating outdoors when it was pissing it down with rain. Seeing as next door said it'd be alright for us to eat here if we bought a drink, do give them an update that you actually consider it a horrendous offense. Another thing of note- I happen to be a business management student, and I'm currently going through various aspects of interactions between businesses and customers. Needless to say, thank you for giving me a grade A example of grade D- service

When someone says 'this is my first and last visit ' at least pretend to care .

and to Louis. I don't know if reading isn't your strong suit. But I did say we came in with food but that we also bought coffee. Guess I know now that it's only polite if we were to buy out the entire menu. Though lord knows how long it'll take considering two mocha's were quite a long effort on your part. Not to mention the fact the waiter looked like blood was gonna come out of her eyes cause we came in with food but also bought two coffees. Which if my mind serves me right we drank at a table, which might make it table service

Went in for a full English breakfast. Atrocious. Rip off.
I requested no beans, usually decent places replace an item you don't want with something else.. this place didn't. The sausages, and mushrooms, disgusting. Tinned mushrooms. Dry bacon. Expensive for what you got.

Lisbeth below unfortunately you need to do more research in business then, take away is cheaper than eating in. Or everyone would buy takeaway and take it in the cafe rather than pay the sit in prices also you pay for having table service too. So unfortunately i rate you as a D- for your knowledge 😂

Lunch for 2 on a monday. Cafe always has customers in which is a good sign. Clean well lit and comfortable enough although not much room for manoeuvre.
Service is reasonably prompt and attentive. Overall atmosphere is nice.
I do feel over £10 per head is a little expensive for the food we received, which while cooked properly (and no cold chips that seem to be mentioned elsewhere), it's not home cooked and feels like cheap frozen chips and pie heated up with catering grade mushy peas on the side. Not the best but by no means of low quality - portions were enough for lunch but 2 cans of coke shouldn't take the bill to over £20 for something I'd reasonably expected to come in around £12-15 max.
If you're hungry then this place isn't a bad choice - it's just with the price and nice homely feel, decent staff - the food needs to be a little better to fit the picture. Or the price about 20-25% lower.
I bear in mind the exorbitant and unreasonable cost inflation put upon all of us, and realise a business has to be profitable. The quaint surrounding and lovely staff don't quite balance the equation for me when the food is so basic. That is to say there's nothing wrong here, you can pay more in Horwich and get worse, but you can also find nicer food at that price point. But eating is an overall experience and the atmosphere and decent staff do have their own merits.

Full English - The eggs, bacon and sausages were all microwaved. Bacon was fatty and sausages were pale with no skin on them. The mushrooms were lukewarm straight out of a tin.

The bakery side however for takeaway is great though, lots of cakes, pies and sandwiches to pick from.

Friendly service

Just had some lunch in the cafe. It was really awful! Over priced and bland. The chips were hard and felt half cooked. Nobody working here can smile. Only people sat on three tables on Saturday lunch time says it all. Avoid and eat at the cow shed.
