We had such a lovely stay at Owl Cottage. The cottages are set in a lovely, peaceful location yet so close to the p&r for York. You can literally be in the centre of York within 25 minutes. It's an easy, hassle free journey.
Owl Cottage was immaculately clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the underfloor heating is so cosy. The courtyard the cottages look on to is lovely and I imagine a joy to sit outside in summer looking over the fish pond. Communication with the owner was really good, extremely friendly and very helpful. I really recommend these cottages. You won't be disappointed. It's a real home from home stay.

Perfect in every way! The Cozy Cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Parking is ample and adjacent. A storage area for my cycle was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended. The outside courtyard is beautifully maintained. A very quiet location for a relaxing break. For a trip into York the Monks Bar Park and Ride is just a ten minute drive away. We have already booked our next trip for next spring!

The cottage is lovely set in a beautiful well manicured courtyard and gorgeous countryside.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Plus full size freezer! Sofa is huge and table easily seats six as described. Beds are comfortable with lovely clean linen. En suit in each room was a luxury also. Dogs are allowed but you wouldn’t know they were as the place is super clean.

Designer outlet is roughly 15 mins, easy drive away. York is about 20 min with traffic. The peace and quiet of the location make its 100% worth the small drive in. Also park and ride is nearby for those not wanting to park. We downloaded ‘just park’ app and got central parking for £7 10am-4pm!

Due to the septic tank, it is a little noisy if you use the loo in the night. The accommodation makes up for that though.

The icing on the cake was the secure dog fields. Dolly truly enjoyed her stay! Spot her in the pictures!!

The cottage was exactly what we needed. Comfy and cosy rooms and well equipped kitchen for our needs. Located down a farm track, just outside York. We were visiting family, so an ideal rural break over festive period.
Some people may find the shared courtyard a bit exposing, but this layout is clear on the promotional images.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Owl cottage. It was peaceful, well equipped and very well designed. The courtyard area with koi pond was a lovely place to relax. Our dogs loved the enclosed paddock to run around in. Honestly nothing could have been better.

Really lovely farmhouse cottages in a wonderful rural location. I think that compared with York hotels, these offer exceptional value for money and I would not hesitate to rebook. Great communication from the hosts made everything very easy. A wonderful stay.

We were very pleased to find a place so close to York but at the same time in the middle of nowhere. ||Parking is onsite but we didn’t know where to park when we arrived we only see no parking signs. ||There are 6 cottages in one location so there is a nice shared courtyard to enjoy in the evening. ||Are cottage was clean although the cushions did smell of dog and an old soap bar was still in the shower head tray. ||Are biggest complaint was the lack of hot water 2 nights of our stay. It’s clear the hot water tank can’t cope with multiple occupancy it really put a damper on things having to have cold showers. We did complain through WhatsApp but by the morning the tank had refilled and sorted itself. ||Wi-Fi is free and the living room tv has sky. ||We won’t return here because of the hot water issue.
