After my Mac book pro didn’t power up in 2021, and after having taken it to an Apple approved repair shop (recommended by Apple), they told me the Mac book was dead due to water damage, even though no water had been near the device.

I kept the Mac book and all these years later, took it to this repair shop and it was fixed! 3 years later! No water damage, just a battery/ power issue.
