Overall a decent stay but not the best room, we booked a superior double room but it didn't have any seating area in the room just a table and a bed. No chairs or even a stool at the dressing table. Nice big bed and room but just ashame it was very basic when listed as a superior double. The staff are fantastic and the food and drinks are excellent, I would stay again but next time will want to see my room before accepting it as my overnight stay.

Visited for New Year’s Eve with friends… we have done this a few times before ….|The first room we were given had an awful smell from the toilet… the water in it was brown.. so we flushed and cleaned it but the smell remained. My wife complained and we got moved to what turned out to be a larger room. Most of the floorboards creaked… we had 4 coat hangers (only 1 on the previous room )… 2 small containers of shower wash abd nothing else provided…. Bed was ok tbf. The New Year’s Eve room was quite small and we had requested a table for 15… they could only do 12 but we said that was ok… when we went into the room all tables were taken and we were only then told it was first gone first served..😩so we were in a corner at a table for 6..!!!all crammed in… hey ho it was NYE… the buffet was just sandwiches… bought thinly sliced quiche, pork pies as far as I could see…!! |Shower in the room was large walk in but only a small shower head… but that was fairly powerful however… our room was directly above the party room but you have to put up with that fur NYE… fortunately only went on a further hour after we went up… it was loud though…|Breakfast was poor… cereals and hot buffet but there was only one poor lady to put it all out abd despite having what looked like a candle under the trays it was not hot.. like warm only… one of our group complained to be told there is heat under the food. |Room was very tired and hotel needs a refurb/re paint and updating…..

Went for the New Year’s Eve event and stayed 1 night. Although the hotel is basic, for the money we paid (£55 for the room & £30 for the NYE ticket) its was really good value for money. The food served at the party was excellent as was the disco. The staff were polite, professional and efficient. The drinks were very reasonable considering this was a hotel and it was NYE. All in all a terrific night and well done to the hotel and all the staff for making it a great night.

Were do I start. The room looked nothing like the pictures on online.

We had a full blank wall with raw plug in. The wall looked like something had been thrown up it.

The bathroom was disgusting. The shower grout was orange not white. So we never used it.
The toilet had stains around the front.
The beds were very hard and very uncomfortable, so considering we was so tired we never slept much!
It was to late to complain as we checked in late and we was very tired.
The floors were very loud and creaky and could hear everyone's movement from other rooms. Which kept my husband awake.

The food was ok(ish) think better sausages would be better and not smoked bacon.
But the waitress was very nice. 😊

Popped in for lunch and we were astonished how great it was. Elena was warm, friendly and super helpful and although we only had sandwiches, they were perfect, with super crispy fries, in fact the best sandwich I’ve had at a pub for two decades.
Highly recommended.

Seeing some of the reviews after I stopped, may have put me have however...let's put a few things into perspective. I was only doing a one night stay, the room was around £40-£50 cheaper than other accommodation I stay in the area. I have stayed in worse places and paid more. I had a standard double room which was clean quite possibly recently painted, well away from the function room so quiet. Yes there was a little noise from adjoining rooms but certainly no more than you would get in the likes of big chains like TL and PI. The bed was comfortable and clean so no issues here.
The night we stayed they had three team members visible covering the bar and restaurant as well as reception. We were uncertain whether the bell was working, until we later sat in the bar and heard how annoying it was for the team when it was pressed repeatedly (sorry guys) Luke was friendly and helpful and the bar staff likewise.
The only downside for us was down to a group of other customers who after eating their whole meal complained. In fairness been close enough to hear what was going on I thought the resolution was fair, but they got louder and more obnoxious towards the staff who remained calm and polite throughout. Even to the extent of apologising to other customers for the disruption. So for us, the friendly welcome pleasant evening and value for money scores this a top mark...

We had our wedding just up the road so recommended some of our guests to stay at the Hockley House Hotel , BIG MISTAKE.
One of our guests stayed and was woken up in the night by things crawling on him. When he put the light on there were all silverfish bugs in the bed and crawling over him.
Eventually after causing a fuss was moved to another room and in the morning told to call and speak to manager to get a refund. Tried doing this over a couple of weeks no manager ever available. Then send emails and surprise surprise still no reply.
To date we are still waiting to be contacted and still awaiting a refund.

Pretty shockingly awful experience, even at the low price. I was stuck in a room (room 2 - be warned) that was right beside the check in desk and steps away from the bar. Full loud talking at the front desk until way after midnight, as if there was not someone in a room a couple of feet away, and incredibly noisy bar until later. I was fully unable to sleep the two nights I was there. And to top it off, the morning after my second night, it was deemed appropriate to vacuum the area outside of my room, loudly and with the vacuum knocking repeatedly into my door - at 7:10 am! Nice enough staff, but thoroughly inept. And there should be no rooms where mine was located. The bed was comfortable, but if you’re trying to sleep in the middle of Times Square, the comfortable bed really doesn’t matter. I won’t be back.
