Review: Disappointing Experience

I bought a pack of *Longkou Vermicelli Noodles* (50g, pack of 8) from this supermarket last week, only to find out it was fake. I was shocked and disappointed. The thickness of the noodles was noticeably different from the genuine product. I didn’t even dare to try it and threw it straight into the bin.

Please be extra careful when shopping here. Pay close attention to the product labels and characters. Unfortunately, most people wouldn’t expect a supermarket to sell counterfeit products, so they might not check closely. This is even harder for those unfamiliar with the language or the brand. My advice is to shop with someone who knows the language or consider going to a more reliable store.

Additionally, I noticed that there are *no price labels* on items in the entire freezer section. This includes several freezers for seafood, meatballs, and other items. It’s frustrating and inconvenient to have to ask staff for the price of each item, making the shopping experience awkward.

Based on these issues, I can’t recommend this place.

This is the best place to buy frozen dumplings - Get the Hongs Brand in 1kg,costs about £8-£10. Taste great and has more filling than other brands.

Other things that are hard to find elsewhere includes the liu sha bao (super extra version with dark bun and striking gold brush stroke) and Hainan Chicken Rice paste (super yummy easy chicken dinner winner).

Another plus is that you can get fresh, live sea food here.

Amazing selection of spices and CHILLI OILS!!!!! great range of frozen dumplings!

All in all a fantastic selection of Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Thai food and drinks.

I went onto Hing Yip's website, order a few items (including a 10kg bag of rice). Everything was delivered within 2 hours. Highly recommended and I will use again!
