Very disappointed. For the second week running, arrived before 13.00 on a Sunday to find no scones. Apparently, too busy with breakfast to bake them. However. All other cakes are available (see picture). What makes scones the obvious victim when it’s the mainstay for cream tea, savory tea, afternoon tea and soup and savory scone… all these options are now off the menu!
Suggestions - Chef to be paid an hour overtime to arrive earlier to bake scones, or prepare mixture and place on oven tray to be put into oven upon arrival Sunday morning…. It’s not rocket science and an approach applied by many, many businesses worldwide!!

Staff have been reduced do you now have to serve yourself to cakes.

Additionally, bathroom is dirty. As can be seen in photo below, apparently, sinks and taps have been cleaned both this morning and yesterday…. Very clearly not!

Enjoyed a visit to browse around and then had scones and tea. The cashier enticed us to sign up for a loyalty card, we'll come back another day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I forgot to take a photo but the fish and chips we had today (Sat 8th Feb) were amazing. The portion size and presentation was good and the fish cooked to perfection. This was served with garden peas, chips, fresh parsley, tartare sauce and lemon. Totally delicious, thank you

Visited again two weeks on the trot and had the same result warm coffee , one scone available and lack of attention by staff. This used to be a GO TO cafe but now find that is not the case. Better menu and staff at Oakes Farm so will be going there in future. Please sort yourself out so we can return

Breakfast, coffee and a trip round the garden centre. Did read its really good for the old people, that's why I'm here. Grilled breakfast.
The outdoor seating looks good. Cycled past many times, without stopping. I will be coming back again.

Popped over to this newly owned garden centre as they have only been here for about 4 to 5 months. To be honest much the same as the last owners a bit of a mish mash really, not quite sure of the layout a little muddled. They did have a nice garden furniture set which I liked but this was soaking wet in the under cover display area and it was still full price! Plants were blown over and were all over the place at least keep on top of this if nothing else, I even picked a few up myself and placed them upright. Most of the stock isn't priced which is not very helpful but as I said they haven't been there that long. Staff were helpful though which is a good sign and the cafe come resturant looked pretty busy so all in all if you are at a lost for something to do on a soggy wet Saturday try this place out.

Lovely selection of seasonal plants, shrubs, fruit trees, pots, kitchenware, garden furniture, gardening hand tools, excellent choice of greeting cards/wrapping paper, confectionery and little gifts. Plus a cafe although we haven’t tried that yet…
