Lovely spot for a drink and a cake while walking the canal. Plenty of seating in the open or under the umbrellas. The lady who served us at the hatch was very friendly. High Peak works museum is right next to it which is good for 20 minutes. During summer it is open until 17.00 and winter until 16.00.

Come here every week to see the lovely lady with the doggy treats. Good walks from here and the forge, cottage and pump house are worth a visit.

Very good coffee and hot chocolate. They also have a good selection of snacks/sweets/chocolates and ice creams.
They also sell frozen yoghurt dog ice creams, ideal for refreshing your dog on hot days. Lovely location on the canalside to stop for a rest whilst walking the Cromford Canal.

We've often stopped at this coffee shop for a drink when walking the canal or if we've come down sheep pasture incline.
It makes a welcome stopping point to sit for a moment and take a much needed cuppa before the return journey.

Very nice cafe/coffee/food and drinks area....n lovely walks into ambergate or cromford and black rocks and middletontop! Lovely idilic scenery beautiful canal walks! Good money worths carpark! 😉👍

May i add that there is a cafe/coffee shops at both ends of cromford wharf and also high peak junction!

Also at the cromford wharf.....uve got a nice burger 🍔 stand and a ice cream 🍦 van! 😉👍
