My first time buying a motor, having recently passed my test, was very cautious about jack the lad dealers and con men, as all you hear is horror stories. Ill tell it as it is, when I first met charles I wasn't very confident, he seemed like the typical jack the lad I was trying to avoid, in fact I nearly didn't buy the car, just cos something didn't feel right. Im very pleased I did, all my pre concerns were proved wrong, and just proves to never judge a book by its cover. There was 2 problems, minor problems I might add. Firstly there was a slight defect with the tyre pressure system and when I rang charles i was expecting a barrage of excuses and fobbing off, but without hesitation he told me to take it to a garage, get a quote and they'd pay for the fault to be fixed. Secondly the rear view had disappeared, again charles didn't hesitate, said he'd get one ordered and delivered to me, and as promised did. Im very happy with the car, I had an independent garage run an mot test as soon as I got back from purchasing it, and again, as sold, the mot charles had arranged was legit and everything was in tip top condition. For anyone looking for a reliable car sales, look no further than this place.

I bought a car from them in January and since then there is a problem in this car. I contacted the dealer because I wanted to return the car but they did not agree and told me to go to the service. The service repaired add blue but in 2 days there was another problem with oil. I contacted the dealer again but refused to return the car. So I went to the service again and it turned out that they had to replace the turbo. Of the 4 months I own, the car for 3 was not used. They said Oohh you can fix it for free because it’s under warranty but I don’t really care because they should repair the car before they sell it!!!Big NO for this company.

I can't thank Herts and Motor company ltd enough for making the buying process so easy and stress free. I saw a car I liked on their website so I gave them a call and after speaking to Charles on the phone i knew this was the dealer for me. Charles was very friendly and helpful, and after a few bad experiences with previous dealers I felt immediately at ease. I didn't have time to go and view the car but I trusted Charles completely and got it delivered to me. I was not disappointed! The car was even better than expected and I have no issues whatsoever. I'm very glad I decided to go with Herts and Motors and will definitely be checking their stock again when I'm ready for an upgrade! Thanks to Charles and the team I am a very happy customer!

I felt that some of the negative comments here were a little unreasonable. I drove straight to them to leave a deposit as I was a little concerned with making a payment via bank transfer without first seeing the place / vehicle, and meeting the people. I arrived before any of the sales team, but the mechanic onsite was very helpful, and took me to the compound to at least get an early peek at the car.

I did come back for a test drive, and it all went well, but there was a small issue that we couldn't resolve at that time. Sadly I had to cancel the deal, but as already agreed, they happily performed a full refund of my deposit the next day.

In summary, I think some of these smaller dealers can get a rough treatment from customers sometimes, and while I am sure some of the other comments might have held some merit, my personal experience here was overall a very good one. Thanks
