Reading the other comments I can see I’m not alone in my experience. Love this charity and the staff in the other branches are nothing short of superheroes. However the woman manager in this branch is extremely rude and intolerant. She made my experience extremely uncomfortable. There are so many wonderful charity shops along this street so do avoid this one and the woman working there and try to donate to this wonderful charity online or some other way. Xxx a message to the lady working here if you see this and know who are you. DO BETTER

I have always been a supporter of HH hospice and shop, I used to take my stuff to Chingford before they opened Epping.

I have also donated time, vouchers and holistic treatments to HH hospice itself, plus clothing from myself, clients and family to the Epping shop too. I previously found all the staff lovely over the years and they do an amazing job! However the new lady (manager I think) is unbelievably rude and I actually walked out as I couldn’t believe how rude she was.

I had to write this as my first thoughts were that I would never go back and then remembered what amazing place this helps support.

Hopefully this lady will change her approach as her approach is totally unacceptable!!

Had to write this as I am concerned about the last review that I have just read.
I have been a volunteer and customer at the Epping shop for over 5 years and can honestly say that I absolutely love it .I am more than happy working with the new manager - ( she certainly has never treated/spoken to me badly) Anna is a lovely lady just doing her best for a charity that her and Carol are very passionate about.. She is really fair and a Good manager who cares about her “staff”.
Both Anna / Carol are so passionate about the Hospice they go above and beyond .!!! We have many many happy customers everyday commenting on the friendly / happy and welcoming atmosphere inside the shop .🙏🏻♥️♥️🌷

The shop is amazing, staff that come for free are amazing always greeted with a hello,i always gave my goods to the shop from my children and shop there for my children.
the new manager is really rude, to customer and her lovely staff , the manager has made people fell very uncomfortable, and lots of people in our area ,are talking about the shop looking untidy outside. And commenting about the new manager, how rude.
.we love the charity and will always give, but if she does not change will have to give to another haven branch. As we cannot have this kind of person in a charity shop.
The manager has put the prices so high, when we are given our clothes toys free

Lovely shop with staff that go above and beyond- most are volunteers that give up their own time to support a charity that makes such a difference to the children/families they help and support!
Any reviews regarding people taking things from outside the shop has absolutely nothing to do with the charity and 2 (linked) people rating the shop 1 star can only be detrimental for the children that the charity shop is supporting!

Yes your pride might be hurt but your reviews are hurting many more people!!!

Please think about the bigger picture and the children you could potentially be affecting in a negative manner with your reviews that are of a personal manner and not to do with the Haven House Hospice charity shop.

HAVEN HOUSE, ITS STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ARE TREMENDOUS AND I HOPE PEOPLE SEE THAT 2 BAD REVIEWS DO NOT REFLECT THE VIEWS OF THE MAJORITY!

Keep up the good work Haven House!

My wife was spoken to with such disrespect this
morning in front of myself and young children! Donations were left outside and my little girl was interested in the rocking horse. My wife stood outside the shop for 15 minutes trying to find a way to donate to Haven Hospice and tried to call to see what opening times were. My wife is know in our local area and surrounding for being very generous and helping families in need through social media and person. A blond woman who I guess was the manager drove up and started shouting at us that we were stealing! Judging from recent reviews she is the new manager who treats others disrespectfully and asks her staff to write reviews to support her bad behaviour. Anyways We have 2 small children who are still shook up after this woman screamed at my wife that she was stealing when she was trying to make a donation and actually started tidying up the front of the charity shops as things were all over the front of the street. She snatched the rocking horse from my 4 year old causing my wife to get into an arguement with this woman. The charity shop manager needs a good course on customer service! My wife is actually a really decent person who has raised hundreds for Haven Hospice over the years and helps support the local events locally through her social media platform with a huge following. She will continue to help the charity but boy oh boy do Haven head office need to have a word. She seems to be the talk of the local community. Seems the shop will loose custom because of one person's unprofessionalism.
I can imagine this review will get deleted but we have screenshots and my wife is in talks with friends who work for Haven Hospice.
