Liked: Our third stay at this lovely site! Pitches were well maintained and we asked for a pitch next to the toilet block which we were given (very much appreciated). Check in was smooth and quick. All staff are super friendly and know their stuff 😊 toilets were being cleaned all day, every day which made for very clean facilities. No trailing through mud to the shower or lack of toilet roll like you see at some campsites! The little shop is well stocked and the activities were great! Archery was brill with lots of games and girls v boys competitions! My 11 and 9 year old girls loved it, as did us adults! The cafe has delicious pizzas and coffees and the kids enjoyed a few slush drinks. Our last two stays were pre-covid and just after the lockdown and we must say, this site just keeps improving every time we go! We'll be back soon!

Liked: The pitches were spacious and I liked that they weren't muddy and had a path around the campsite. My daughter loved the park and amenities nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive. Lots of hot water and the toilet blocks were clean and warm. This is our second stay and would definitely go back again. The shop is well stocked and we also had takeaway from there which was lovely.

Liked: Clean, tidy site with helpful knowledgable staff who were always on hand. Food and drinks at the cafe were nice. Would definitely recommend the pizza. Good little shop with essentials and extra camping tools and equipment. We were pitched next to our friends a family with two children. It was great that tents, motorhomes and caravans could pitch next to each other so we could sit out together. (We have a tent, they have a motorhome) Ground was great for the tent, no huge lumps or bumps and well looked after grass. The activities were great and look forward to staying again when it's warmer and the aqua park is open. Location is great and close to the motorway.

Liked: Good reasonably clean facilities within the campsite. Also kids play park areas were good and short distance from the tent. The campsite is near towns so good for replenishing camp supplies. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Location of pitch was near road entrance, a little noisy but not too much. No WiFi signal in campsite for at night.

Stayed for the bank holiday weekend 3 nights,fantastic site,our pitch was lovely and deep ,staff were super friendly and accommodating,renting the fire pit was a lovely add on too,couldn't fault the facilities,I must have seen somebody cleaning the showers and toilets atleast 10 times a day! One group had a band on at the bottom end of the site for somebody's birthday so we went and enjoyed the music as they was very friendly and welcoming,would come back in a heartbeat highly recommend to anybody .

Liked: The staff are very welcoming, the kids love the facilities on site, it's a short walk into the village with a couple of bars restaurants and shops. The lake is great for paddleboarding which you can either hire or launch your own .

Disliked: Although the Toilets were cleaned they could do with cleaning a bit more regular but the staff were in low season so to be expected.

Today,we had a fantastic open water swimming experience at Hatfield Activity Centre with Swim Your Swim. This friendly and highly recommended group made the session enjoyable for everyone.
> The centre boasts excellent open water facilities, including a 250-meter course suitable for all abilities and a longer 800-meter loop for more seasoned swimmers.
> Beyond swimming, Hatfield Activity Centre offers a wide range of activities, such as aquamarine sessions, a natural lake pool, axe throwing, paddleboarding, and archery. With a cafe and campsite also available, it's a destination with something for everyone.
> It's definitely well worth a visit!
> P.S. One minor disappointment is that you cannot walk around the lake, which is a shame as it's a truly lovely area.

I recently took my elderly grandparent, who’s living nearby and dealing with dementia, to an archery session. Tegan has been a wonderful support, always attentive and compassionate. Today, she also ran our session, and her kindness genuinely made my family and me feel so welcomed. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares, and Tegan’s positive energy made a real difference for us. We can't thank her enough. What an amazing human!
