I've played twice in the last 6 months once dry once wet and experienced different issues.

When dry we went on a Saturday booked tee times and they appeared to just be letting people walk on too so it was incredibly overcrowded its a shortish track so a round shouldn't take 4 hours and this was about 5 and a half.

We also played yesterday 5th March, no electric trolleys 15 winter greens which were atrocious and no mention of either when booking or before going out. It had been dry for 5 days prior to this so I would suggest do not even attempt to play this if its been wet within the last week.

Its sad because its a nice track, the council who own / operate this do well to maintain it and the practise facilities are exceptional (great putting area, chipping area and nets). But they need to police tee times and slow play and do better to notify people if there are a ridiculous amount of winter greens.

Very Well Presented Municipal Golf Course and good value for money. My only criticism is that they allow absolutely anybody to play it, and by anybody I mean people whom from what I witnessed looked as though they'd never swung a Club before, unfortunately this leads to one huge problem...SLOW PLAY and BAD GOLF ETIQUETTE which can quickly ruin an enjoyable round of golf.
May I suggest Golfers starting out or those who can't hit further than 50yds stick to your par 3 courses or crazy golf for the time being.

Lovely golf course, reasonably priced. Greens had just been air rated so little bumpy in place's, fairways in good condition.

For a municipal course, this place is fantastic. The fairways and greens were in great condition. Some of the bunkers were a little shabby, but given we are only a few weeks into being allowed on the course following the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, completely understandable. Whatever way you look from greens or fairways, the landscape of the course is so pleasing on the eye. Love playing here.

For a council run course, this is such a lovely place.
Usually at least 4 stars. But played here on 11th July and there were so many temp greens, it was a joke. It's not as though there had been a week of torrential downpours, so do not get it. Any essential maintenance could have been scheduled for when courses were closed.
No reduction on green fees, yet the temp greens were tiny in area and were just cut a little shorter than the fairways, not flat, so not even greens at all in reality.
Such a shame.

A good municipal very mature tree line parkland course which had an easy walk with undulating & tight fairways. Fairways & Greens were in good condition, but if you run off the fairways into the 1st cut it is very easy to lose a ball. The 7th is a tough par 3 with a ditch in front of the green and over hanging tree branches. Some fairways have ponds, therefore course management comes into play.
My only criticism of this course is the bunkers which are in poor condition (very little sand) Brentwood council are spending money improving the course.
Practise chipping/ putting green. No driving nets.
A very good course for the price will definitely play again.
Also has a great pro shop with a huge selection of equipment and clothing.

Great little municipal course with the back tees providing enough of a challenge for the low handicap golfer. They do a good twiighlight package throughout the autumn/winter. Small but friendly bar upstairs from the well stocked pro shop. There is also a good cafe for pre/post round food. Gets quite busy during peak hours and weekends, so plan your visit wisely (nothing worse than being stuck behind a drunken fourball on a Sunday afternoon!)
