Lovely place for afternoon tea. They also have a very nice cookery school and two or three shops to look around.

We were here for opening at 10am and breakfast finally arrived at 10.45am. I think they must have been waiting for the hens to lay eggs!!! No apologies for the long wait. Don’t come here if you are in any kind of a rush. Room absolutely freezing, bring a coat!

Very helpful . Lovely food. Wed been driving quite a while and were hungry so we were so pleased to find this place. They also really love dogs and presented us with a saucer piled high with cut up sausage for ours having asked us if he could have it . Would highly recommend this very friendly place.

Lovely pottery painting in the upstairs shop. Would definitely recommend as a fun activity. We didn't book, just turned up and did it before our afternoon tea which worked really well!

Harts Barn is an interesting place but it's laid out in a strange way that makes everything seem shut. It might have been because we visited in January and things were really quiet. The Forest Larder has some really cool ingredients though, and I'm really tempted to try out a cookery course at the school there.

My mum and I and my 3 year old son went for a Sunday Roast and wow, we were not disappointed. My son got the smaller roast and it was huge! He absolutely loved it. He had the turkey, and my mum and I had the roast Pork. It came with lots of veg and gravy and sauces and we couldn’t have asked for any better.
The ladies who work there were so so nice. I just cannot fault this place at all.
My mum went the week before and had soup and a ploughman’s and she also said those were fantastic too.
All in all we will most definitely be going back and taking the rest of my family.
