Harpurhey shopping centre is OK it's not the best . It is a decent market, and as some big name shops ASDA - Iceland - B&M, the rest of it is made up of second-hand shops & charity shops
The toilet ? on the market is poorly managed and small. and always have water on the floor next to the urinals they are the worst toilets I have ever been in . And need money spent on them or pull the toilets down altogether
This is a place not to be seen at night as it's not safe . Needs better shops & a much bigger & better market . Needs better lighting at night . During the day, it's not too bad for people going about their business .

A great shopping precinct.

There are too many charity shops... and the closure of Wilko was a huge loss, despite the newly extended, enormous and excellent B&M.

Rightly or wrongly, Asda reigns here...

My major gripe is that there is no shoe shop or menswear store. Your only option, as a man, is to reluctantly choose from Asda's very limited selection of menswear and footwear... or, do as I do, go to Sports Direct in Middleton.

As an afterthought... How about a barber's / salon too?

I Visited Harpurhey District Office for an Appointment for an Application. Parking was quite congested and the Staff in the District Office were very Helpful & Friendly. In the past I have been Shopping on Harpurhey Precinct for Cards, Fruit & Veg, Art Stationary, Fish & Seafood plus other Various Items from the Hardware Shop and it was easy access and not too busy. A lot people Stop-Off near the Petrol Station & McDonalds Drive-In which makes the Area Busy with Motorists. My Girlfriend took me in her Car but I have been by Bus many years ago. A nice Shopping Area.
