Just had the displeasure of meeting the young guy in the Hampton Hill Local, 60 High St. I went to collect a small parcel which had been delivered there. I said hi and showed the bar code for the parcel. He demands, go to the end of the counter, which I did, stood there awaiting next instructions and was TOLD to look in the basket for my item!!!! I asked, is that what everyone does and he said yes. I asked, where to put the items that weren’t mine and he said, put them on the floor!!!! I did this and after about 10 or 12 items I found my one. ( there are about 70 ish parcels crammed in this basket) I felt quite lucky to have found mine so soon. I then took my parcel to the counter for scanning and young guy says, PICK UP THE Parcels off the floor. I said NO. He repeats himself. I repeat myself and once again he repeats himself. He says, if you don’t pick them up then I’m not scanning your item. He repeated himself a couple of times and I said fine, don’t. I picked up my parcel and left the shop.
I want to add, that he didn’t say hello, no smile, zero niceties. Nothing. Just plain Rude the whole time I was there.
I’m not saying don’t go in there but if you want a friendly smile from someone you ain’t getting it here and don’t be surprised if your parcels and packages are broken when you collect them and filthy dirty because they’ve been thrown all over their disgusting and dirty floor.
Anyone else had a bad experience in this shop? Or should I ask, has anyone actually had a pleasant experience in this shop? ( probably not)

Nice small local shop with a good variety of wines. Also, you can send and collect your parcels here. No problem with that.

Unacceptable Service and Discrimination

I visited this shop to drop off a parcel for Yodel, as it’s registered as a pickup/drop-off point. However, they refused to accept my parcel, claiming they had too many items and that mine was too big—even though I had previously collected the same item from this location.

The assistant was rude, aggressive, and extremely unpleasant. I also felt discriminated against which seemed to be the underlying issue. This behavior was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Yodel should reconsider partnering with this shop as a pickup point. The lack of professionalism and respect is shocking.

I stopped going here many years ago,as I used to collect items from an Amazon locker here,though I got fed up with this shop as when I went in to collect from this locker right from back of it as when he had deliveries in the floor isles were nearly blocked with stock and there was two delivery trolleys right in way of locker,and last time I went to do this I moved this I was very annoyed to see this and moved one of the trolleys out the way in annoyance.He then threatened me by saying on camera, I said I was never coming back.His attitude was he wasn't really interested in these other services he had,and was rude,unhelpful and I
unprofessional.He's quite cocky I suppose as so much stock in his shop.New shop here please.
Hi, everybody I've just seen you're poor reviews of this place ,I completely agree with you all on this.May I suggest Fullwell Food and Wine as they are very friendly and I can send my eBay,Amazon and any other parcel there,with whatever carrier,far better service and pleasant people.They do a lot of carrier collections and drop off services.I top rate it.

Not entirely sure exactly what goes through Aunty Rasjas mind behind the counter but they refuse to sell tobacco or alcohol to over 65s. It's a humanitarian disaster this place. Heaven or hell, heaven or hell Rasjas keeps asking me. Yeah, Aunty, yeah, can I please have 20 rothmans?

DON'T use this shop to pick up parcels.

I went to collect an Evri parcel. The man behind the counter stayed on his video call the entire time, and did not acknowledge my presence for the first couple of minutes (nobody else in the shop) whilst I stood in front of him waiting to be served. He then just pointed at a bin full of random parcels beside the counter, which I had to root through myself. He begrudgingly scanned my parcel code without saying a word, and did not check my name or ID, so I could have walked out with multiple parcels that did not belong to me. This place is NOT secure.

I have alerted Evri to this security risk.

I struggle to understand why people offer a service but have absolutely no manners whatsoever! It’s free to be polite and kind! Quite frankly I’m surprised this shop is able to sustain a business! People should just stop going into this shop as they don’t deserve to be part of the local community!! What a waste of space! As you can see I don’t usually write negative reviews but this needs to be addressed!

I started to get my partner and son to go and get our electric topped up because they were so vile. Funny how they can always top it up when a man goes in but, it’s always broken when I went in.
