Brought some jeans here for the waist altering, was charged a very reasonable £12.50 and the jeans now fit perfect. Service was spot on and I was able to pick them up two days later.

Took a wedding dress to this shop to be altered. Was assured it would be done in four weeks. Went back after 5 to be told it hadn't been started yet and would be done before Christmas. Was given no apology and wasn't given an exact date it would be done instead either. Left it two further weeks and went in to check if it had been started, it hadn't. Again, no apology or reason why given. I took it back from the person and have now gone elsewhere, a deadline has been given and first fitting post alterations all booked in. Wish I hadn't wasted two months with this person or I'd have the dress done by now. Not good that no explanation or apology was given at any stage. Might be OK for more simple things like curtains where there is no urgency for deadlines, but anything important such as this, I'd go elsewhere. Even then, customer service skills won't be satisfactory I wouldn't have thought. If I could give 0 stars I would. Purely posting this to warn others not to make the same mistake as me. Not to be malicious. Organising weddings are super stressful as it is and super important to trust others with different aspects of your day.
