First time going into Gurds last week and it was a great experience buying my first suit. The gent who came over to assist me was extremely professional and helpful in showing me around the shop and directing me to exactly what I wanted. Extremely happy with the three piece tweed look suit I bought which they altered the trousers for free as part of the service. Was treated with the same care and respect as you’d expect if you went to Saville row. Couldn’t recommend them enough and I’ll definitely be back again

I bought 3 suits from here for my wedding, 1 for myself and 2 for my best men. If you are looking for a wedding suit then please visit here and keep shops like this going as I bought 3 suits for the same price as hiring. The suits I have bought are tailored 3 piece with slim fitting so very modern with tweed and tailored trousers. They have a great range in the shop and the service is great. Highly recommend.

Absolute gem of a place! And astoundingly over a hundred years old!

Found an excellent (and also my new favourite) shirt there, and loved their selection!
Definitely have to remember to visit again next time I'm in Taunton and looking for new shirts and coats.

Thank you to the assistants who were so helpful when we popped in on Saturday. With only 20 mins to spare our son bought trousers and a shirt for a wedding. All a very last minute purchase for an extra large chap with long legs. Well done.

If you're into classical men clothing then this shop is definitely for you.

I gave it 4 stars for the great selection of sportsjackets and blazers as well as the high quality jumpers and wool neck ties because I think they are worth the investment. If I could have found knitted ties and silk pocket squares I would have given it a 5.

Overall I highly recommend it and will definitely buy more from them.

Ive passed this place many times and thought i must pop in one day as I’m a lover of Tweed Suits,
I popped in between jobs and they took one look at me a turned the noses up, so I approached them asking what they had in the way of tweed suits and and think i got the reply of we have nothing for you!?
Pretty Women came to mind,
Well they wont ever get my custom again and next time i hear they are struggling ill be praying that the go Bankrupt

Needed last minute dinner suit trousers for a black tie dinner, and the magician in store found exactly what I needed, with the correct length and waist which is unheard of for a man of my size. Some beautiful extras including some cufflinks that I just had to have. I had to leave before I bought a whole new outfit that I didn't need, very impressed.
