Excellent service yet again from Gunnislake garage. Had to have one of our cars taken in by LV Rescue after a gearbox failure. Turned out to be just a small plastic component which was replaced for labour cost. Thoroughly recommended and would not take our cars anywhere else!

Had various bits done at this garage recently and they are great. They are very honest, I had an issue with battery/alternator done my own test with some junk so I presumed it was alternator, garage done some tests found it was the battery. Could have easily charged me for both. Great garage great service

We were on holiday in the area last week when my brakes decided to sound like the first Slipknot album. At first I tried to map a route from Gunnislake to my home town of Birmingham in such a way that would prevent me needing to use the brakes at all, however, considering that most of Gunnislake appears to be built on a vertical cliff side this seemed impossible so I began the arduous task of “who can rip me off the least” and began making enquiries into local garages that could provide a speedy service, hopefully still leaving me with at least one kidney.
After being quoted in the area of £300 and at least 2 days for the repair by various other garages in the area, all hope seemed lost until, when driving past their advert on one of the local buildings, I thought “I’ll just try one more” and I am VERY glad I did.
Not only was I greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the phone (a rarity as in my experience most mechanics attend the same customer service course as doctors receptionists) I was simply told that they would be more than happy to do it the very next day (it was 5pm when I phoned!). I took the car in at 8.30 the next morning as directed and was once again greeted by friendly and professional service and they immediately took the car in and ordered the required parts. The parts arrived within 30 minutes and another 30 minutes later it was all done. Of course, I expected to pay a premium for this and began to apply my wife’s lipstick when I was informed that the total bill was over £100 LESS than everywhere else I’d been quoted! Fearing the mechanic had sucommed to carbon monoxide poisoning I questioned this and he indeed confirmed the price was correct - he also mentioned that this particular brake repair was one of the more expensive ones he’d seen (it certainly wasn’t the most I’d experienced...) and I was on my way.
Ridiculously speedy service & ridiculously good price! Gunnislake Garage really do put all the other garages to shame! I’d even be tempted to drive from Birmingham to see them for any further work that needs doing!

Van had running issues on the road. Had been taking it to another garage for a couple of years. I booked the van into Gunnislake Garage for the first time since moving there. Problem sorted. Van running significantly better. Friendly and polite service
