Friendly helpful staff, and an absolute Aladdin’s Cave of guitars from all eras; electric, bass, acoustic, vintage and collectible. The building itself is just as interesting, with a history dating from the 1400s.

I went to the shop today thinking of buying a guitar but left disappointed. The chap let me play the guitar for 5 mins and asked how it was. I said the neck was a bit large for me. I expected him to engage, maybe suggest something else but he just said it was a shame and took the guitar back. I got a distinct vibe that he would rather I left which is what I did. It's disappointing because it's such a lovely shop and I bought a tele there last year which I love. But after this experience I don't feel like returning.

Great shop with a fantastic range of guitars and basses.
Shop is fast to reply to online messages/emails.
I went to the shop to try out a specific instrument which I ended up buying. The Staff were friendly and helpful and didn't make feel rushed or pressured in any way whatsoever. Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you.

Guitar Village is hands down the best guitar shop I’ve been to. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and offering great advice. The shop itself is huge, with an excellent range of guitars and accessories on display – I was spoilt for choice!

Unlike another shop locally where I was completely ignored, the team here couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. If you’re looking for top-notch service and a fantastic selection, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Amazing place – packed full of every type of guitar, I went in as an acoustic player wanting to try electric guitar– and was able to try as many as I wanted. Staff super helpful and not pushy – just allowing me to try out and test it with no expectations. A must visit for every guitar player!

Mamouth selection of guitars, both electric and acoustic with staff who get the balance perfect of giving assistance Vs leaving you to explore & try out. Just when you think you've seen it all, you discover the stairs that take you up to an incredible floor filled, literally, from roof rafters to floor with some 9f the finest new and vintage (well loved and restored) guitars. Little side rooms, that you have to bow before entering (were people really that short centuries ago?), contain even more varies and places to try out guitars. When so much of life is online these days, it is a treat to shop in a grade listed building packed neatly with so much variety. And have I mentioned the staff? Not enough. They're truly wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Recommended. Bonus: beautiful historic town to boot!
