I promise I’m not exaggerating but Greys helped restore some of my faith in humanity. After a long walk and with 2 increasingly hungry and grumpy 4 year olds in tow we desperately needed some food. However, just as we were about to choose somewhere, there was a town wide power cut in Wroxham with no one being able to take cards, and us being cashless. After trying several places to see if they’d take a transfer or iou things were getting desperate. However, The kind souls at Greys saw us, pulled us in and didn’t hesitate to give the kids (and us) some chips on the house whilst asking for nothing in return. The simple act of kindness made the already excellent chips taste even better. I can’t recommend them enough.

So when I walked Into the seating area, I was greeted with a really clean area, found a seat and went and ordered the cod and chips, a lovely lady took my order. In no time at all our meal was delivered, oh my god what a portion. Now let's talk about the food, best thing I can say is it was amazing, some of the best fish and chips I've sampled.
I can not recommend this place enough, get yourself down here, you will not be disappointed 5⭐️

Stopped off after visiting bewilderwood norfolk for a bite to eat and found this little town called Hoveton&Wroxham. Parked up and walked along the bridge and found Grays fish and chip shop. Decided to eat in as those sneaky seagulls were flying around keeping an eye out on everyone's food if you were brave enough to sit outside by the water. Walked in and sat down straight away, staff very friendly and polite, ordered food which didn't take to long. We ordered kids nuggets and chips, kids cod ad chips, 1/4 chicken and chips, board special seafood dish . Came out after 10-15mins and then there was silence . My family tucked in and enjoyed there fresh, tasty food. 5 * well worth the visit for a bite to eat.

I wouldn't use any other chippie even if Greys was closed.
Always freshly cooked, perfectly (not over) battered, tasty fish, good portion sizes, prepared and served in a friendly and efficient manner.
I would highly recommend Grey's.

Stopped off for a quick bite to eat, nothing more extravagant than sausage, chips and mushy peas !!, the food was hot enough and we had to wait for more chips to be cooked which was absolutely fine. We opted to sit outside on the benches but be warned there is a squadron of kamikaze sky rats that take off and circle on a regular basis so you run the risk of being shat on.
The food was perfectly ok, although there were quite a few throat stabber scraps in my tray but that's just one of those things. The food did repeat on me a bit later though so I'm not sure what they fry it in but it didn't agree with me.
