We have just had our bedroom window replaced by GHW Ltd and they have done a great job. The lads who fitted it were polite, professional, kept disruption to a minimum and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. The window looks great and the finish is so neat and clean you would not know it had been changed.

We had a full set of windows and doors replaced by Great Harwood Windows, including a composite front door and French windows. From the beginning, the process of getting quotes was stress-free in comparison to the high pressure direct sales approach we'd experienced with other companies, thanks to their systems of submitting measurements online first, and the surveyor was attentive and helpful in guiding us to what we needed. We had a good deal of choice of supplies and were given a good idea of what would be suitable without being oversold things we did not need. Communication with GHW was done via email and telephone and was excellent throughout.

The fitting itself was carried out by Dave and Ian, and I have only praise for the professionalism of their work, especially during a hailstorm on the first day of removing the old windows! I was working from home the three days they were here and they were always considerate, polite and friendly. They suggested a few changes to window layout as they were working that made a big difference, and we appreciate their input here too.

During the installation it transpired that two windows were faulty (one was the wrong size for the frame, another was cracked). These were fixed the following week in an appointment that was timed for my convenience, and it's now all looking fantastic. The house feels warmer already and we're very happy with how the new windows and doors look.

Overall, I would recommend GHW to anyone, and would certainly use them again in future. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

GHW recently installed 20 bespoke aluminium frames in our property and I cannot fault their service. The team is extremely helpful and show great attention to detail. The installation team were very polite and respectfully of our property and it was a pleasure to have them on site. The product is fantastic and has transformed our property. Highly recommend!

I’m a little bit compelled to share my story as repeated attempts to reconcile my situation appear to be falling on deaf ears.

In short:
- started looking July
- ordered door Oct
- fitting was Feb / deposit paid (took ages in my view)
- door was not fitted to standard and was left unfinished (as confirmed by the fitters)
- correction scheduled Mar
- we missed the appointment as no one answered the door or phone (our fault)

But, not one phone call since to reschedule and not one response to emails and phone calls to reschedule.

It’s as though I’m not even a customer.

I would rather they came and took my door out, put the old one back in and give me my money back.

The service and response rates are shocking.

We haven’t fully paid and this is simply because the job is not complete (no one has even asked for the money) - so this is no Mexican stand off, just a company ignoring their customer.

To add further details following your response, I want to clarify precisely:
1) I don't recall a request for part payment - please re-send that to me
2) The internal plastering was discussed at the time of the quote, this is "absolutely" nothing to do with how the installation was completed. I was given the go ahead to do the plastering.

I'm disappointed with your review response.

I cannot come in to the office to discuss topics with you all the time. I work in Manchester and making in is not so easy and when I do call and ask for call backs - no one calls back!

Either sort out the problem (which was assessed at the time of survey), or take the door and replace it with the original one ASAP.
