Poor experience. Bought a 15k miles, 68 plate VW Polo remotely. As it was remote I asked them to give me an accurate description of the car so that there wouldn't be any surprises. I arranged and paid for the car to be delivered. On arrival the car had a large tear in drivers seat that I hadn't been advised about. Also, the car had clearly had a poor quality repair to rear drivers door and rear bumper. Panel gaps all out of line at the rear of the car. I rejected the car but had to pay once again to have it transported back to dealer. Once they got it back they phoned me to advise it had been returned and even apologised for the interior condition. However, although I got a very swift refund of the purchase price I was not offered any compensation for the 2 delivery charges and my subsequent messages have gone unanswered. Quite frankly I'm very disappointed. Probably best to pay a little more and stick to franchised main dealers where at least you get more peace of mind and a manufacturers used car warranty.

Can’t recommend Graham Hilton enough! Kyle, the salesman, was very polite and accommodating. He understands how customers think and did not hover around (on any of our 3 visits haha) or push us into anything which, was a nice change. We initially looked at an older model to the one that we eventually bought, but this isn’t a knock on the initial car, both cars were presented in impeccable condition and very clean despite the horrific weather we’ve had recently. The car we settled has been amazing and so far, faultless.

The only thing I found which was a break from the norm for me was the policy of no negotiating a deal. This is my first purchase of a car or house where there has been no negotiation on price. But, for a car in this condition, it’s understandable. All in all we couldn’t be happier with both the Garage and the Sales people. We’ll be back for our next car.

Really should have went to main dealer for a used Mercedes Benz E Class Coupe 220 AMG Line.

Few days after collection, engine warning light on. They said it never happened, so I was unlucky. Anyway, drove back to have it reset. Few days later, light on again. No collection service, I need to drive it back for the same issue, twice. I think I’m actually lucky, that the light came on only few days after collection, otherwise they may say wear and tear.

Pointed out key fob warning light when test drive the car, being told it was replaced during collection. No, never, because the warning was on again. They told me to go to Halfords, which I did, but Halfords say no, need reset? They then asked me to go back again, just for a car key battery, kidding me? They could have offer me to replace at dealer and pay the cost, something they should have done before collection.

Now just over a month of owning the car, paint on 2 wheels flake off, which I was told have proper fully refurb by their specialist. Reported to them yesterday, and their reason is wear and tear, not cover. Also, no one ever reported this issue with any of their cars in the past, they claimed “Many things can contribute to the alloys chipping/flaking and as we haven't had anybody else report a problem with there alloys after sale we can only assume any damage to the wheels would be incurred after collection and not as a result of our work.”

Before the response above, they also said “If you wanted them done properly you would need to have them acid dipped and resprayed to stop any further deteriation.”, so it was not done properly in the first place hence deteriorated.

Paint flake off from the central and forks area where road kerbs cannot reach. So their claimed it was me who damage the wheels.

Nice customer service.

Good luck with your purchase, for me, I should have gone to main dealer.

Best car buying experience!

After visiting multiple car dealers, I can honestly say that Graham Hilton Garage was one of the best out there. Daniel was exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble. This resulted in us finding the perfect vehicle to meet our needs, whilst we felt under no obligation to purchase a car. When the time comes we definitely will be visiting again. I bought my A1 from Graham Hilton, nothing was too much for them. Dealt with Dan, very good and has loads of time for you. I had a million questions as I’m always weary of buying cars but had no concerns. The car needs its brakes looking at but they’re happy to look at it and sort. Very happy
