Loved the coffee here ! It was such a great place to study. But depending on where you sit it would be a great place for socialising with friends or families. All the staff were lovely and Francesca and Alice were so nice when serving me. Great place.

The General Store is a great place for a coffee and cake in central Winchester. They have nice outdoor seating so you can sit and watch the world go by. They sell a great range of cakes and pastries produced by great local bakers too.

Very disappointed. I ordered a toasted sandwich and found a long hair in it melted into the cheese. I returned to the manager explaining and wasn’t even given an apology, I was just offered another sandwich. Poor service!!!

Wonderful food!
They have a great selection of baked goods, including brownies, pastries and breads. We decided to have lunch here and it didn’t disappoint. Pesto with peppers and tomatoes on crunchy, seeded sourdough. I decided to opt for a sweet option too - peanut butter stuffed cookies and again, so good! We will definitely come back again when we’re in the area.

Sounds like we should have stopped for coffe - but it was lunchtime so we had food. The place is nice and has a lot of tables and loads of deli items to buy. By 2pm on Sunday most things were gone, we had a decent if quite greasy bacon sandwich, a nice veggie salad and a stone cold veggie scotch egg. I’d come back but for coffee and cake !
