I can’t recommend Gary at GCars in Windlesham highly enough! After seeing a few cars elsewhere and feeling uncertain, meeting Gary completely turned the experience around. The second hand car market is a truly daunting place for a young female… you constantly hear stories of con-artists and scammers.
After buying my car from Gary in March, all of my worries were eliminated ! It was a truly pleasant experience ! I waited 6 months to review just in case there were any hidden issues with the car and only one small issue came up, Gary was quick to act and respond and resolve the issue despite it being out of the three month warranty period.
So thank you Gary for restoring my faith in second hand car dealers and thank you for my fabulous little motor !

31/07/2024 my daughter bought a car from GCars/Gary. I did the fatherly thing and went with her (along with my bank card!!) to view and ultimately part exchange her car with Gary and she bought the buy the car she wanted from him.
The whole experience from viewing, test driving, part exchanging and my daughter driving away in her new car was excellent. The warranty Gary offers and his attitude to ensuring us/his customers are totally satisfied with the car being bought gave us peace of mind that should a problem arise it would get sorted.
I strongly recommended that if you are looking for a used car and see something on the GCars website that is of interest, then take the trouble to make contact with Gary and check the car out.
A 5* service and a pleasure dealing with and buying the car from Gary.

An addendum to my original review. My daughter's car purchased from Gary the previous week, developed a fault with the alternator and a sensor switch. True to his word, Gary sorted it without any fuss. He collected the car, left my daughter a replacement car, sorted the problem out and returned the car the following day. Great customer service. A highly recommended car dealer.

The 1 star is for the accuracy of him being a used car salesman.

Quite frankly I’m not sure where to start on the list of things which would come to mind when advising someone to steer clear of this man. Especially if you will have vulnerable family members in the car such as young children.

1. The no quibble warranty proved to be far from the truth.
2. You will not have your calls answered once he realises you’re calling with an issue.
3. On the rare occasion he does answer you wont be taken seriously and you won’t be able to actually have a conversation as he is ‘busy’.
4.He uses his third party lawyers to argue for him so you won’t actually get any help because he obviously pays then to avoid having to payout for warranty issues.
5. He plays the ‘good guy’ & ‘victim cards’ very well.
6. You may well not even have a car after all of the stress.

After having the car only 6 weeks it started showing fault lights on the dash board. When I had this investigated, quite a few other things were flagged up as dangerous. Baring in mind I was driving my toddler around in the car it then meant the car was underivable whilst I waited for repairs.
Thinking the car was within the no quibble warranty period I called up but the calls were rarely answered and when a response was finally received he didn’t care and asked for a second opinion (which we got). Despite this instead of helping we were palmed off to his third party little lawyers who proceeded to make us wait knowing we had no vehicle.
The response we then got was the most condensed communication I have ever had. I was also told I should of brought up concerns I had with the car at time of purchase- which considering I’m not a mechanic I would of had no way of knowing. Since then I have had other faults come up on car which I am upset about but not surprised. Untimely I am now paying for a car that I’m not using as the repairs are very costly.
I have added observation from mechanics and the snarky little letter from his lawyers.

I think the best review you can give is three years after purchasing! I bought an Audi TT from Gary,still driving beautifully and has passed three MOT's in a row.
Quality cars and a trustworthy, friendly service.Highly recommended!
