I first visited Gary a few months ago when I needed advice and components for a fixed gear project I had acquired for my new ride to work. He gave me invaluable advice and a service to enable me to feel confident on my commute bike. I have been riding many years but didn’t feel confident on riding a fixed gear. Gary was kind, patient and non-judgemental.

I was drawn to return on a few occasions thereafter and I have never felt disappointed by my visit. The time Gary and his team give to their customers make this such an enjoyable experience. I have come to learn that they are in this industry because they love it above anything else.

So when I needed a new road bike for my recreational riding as my bike was broken, where else to go but back to Gary where on my few visits to get the right bike I had great service from Gracie, Clive and Gary. I was even able to test ride a bike before agreeing upon the most generous deal for a bike which is way beyond what I thought could be affordable.

This guy is a community asset and I would highly recommend this service!

I took a bike to Gary Harris Cycles I hadn’t ridden for over 10 years expecting it to need a full service. The staff were incredibly friendly and told me from an initial assessment that it probably wouldn’t need a full service but would let me know if there were any major issues.

I was very impressed with the honesty of the staff who were also clearly knowledgable and helped me with some other questions I had too.

Would definitely recommend using them.

I took my rather old ebike for a service to this cycle shop. Gary was friendly and helpful, and agreed to store my bike after repair as I was going to be away a few days with no issue.
Bike really going well, and prices entirety reasonable. And plenty of free parking for your car at he shop if you are bringing the bike in on a bike rack.
Would heartily recommend!

Took my bike for a service and to resolve an annoying creak. Bike came out of the shop running like a dream and runs silent. Fell in love with the bike again. Fantastic service. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

A brilliant local cycling store for bike repairs, advice and maintenance. The guys here know there stuff and are never pushy on trying to sell you items. I was so grateful to see they had opened the shop prior to the recent Bristol Audax on the Air Mail 200km. A few bicycle inner tubes purchased and got myself a nice new drinking bottle. It’s bicycle stores like this that will keep us cyclists riding. Please please use them rather than lose them. They love to chat and meet like minded fellow cyclists. 👏

I did the Dragon Ride yesterday (23rd June 2024) and had a mechanical with my bike, where the chain was jumping around in the cassette.

A mechanic from this shop was at the feed stop doing the repairs and quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed my bike. Without his help, the remaining 80 miles of my ride would have been a nightmare. The best part is that he refused to accept any payment.

Unfortunately I have forgotten the chaps name, but I was the guy with the Pinarello which had the lose rear through axle. I am sure this chap will remember me; please pass on my thanks to him. He is a credit to your business.
